It has a nice, spicy aroma. The flavor was complex, even though I knew what I was getting. The spices were a plus. goldtwins (4086), Nesconset, New York, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 14, 2006 Bottle: "typical" pumpkin ale, subtle pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon spice flavors. Tastey session beer. beastdog75 (337), Brick, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 13, 2004 Pours a copper/orange color. Has pumpkin and spice flavors present of course, but it also has somewhat of a drying citric hop bitterness in the finish as well. More "beery" than I expected, the pumpkin doesn’t dominate the brew. Decent. WISEGUY572 (1252), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 2, 2003 Good orange color and nice head but after that nothing special ... sort of the Sam Adams of pumpkin ales. Not much malt, not much hoppiness, not much pumpkin taste, and I did not notice much spice until the very end. Even there, the spice was more of a sweetness than a pronounced nutmeg or other pumpkin pie taste. ¾ (5012), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 20, 2007 I love fall beer. Medium dark brown rusty colored body. Nose of semi-sweet, pulpy pumpkin, with light hints of cinnamon and apples. Wet and slippery up front, then a little brash, then generally unsweet lightly pasty across the back. Flavor is best described as pumpkin-infused cardboard, since the pumpkin characteristics, while easily noticed, lack vibrancy, lack depth, and lack fullness. Comes across as plain and simple, almost like a poorly constructed brown ale with a moderately hint of pumpkin flavor. Could benefit from some brown sugar yeast flavors and a little sweetness. I’m complaining a lot only because it wasn’t spectacular, and in all honesty I enjoyed drinking this since I’m generally a big fan of pumpkin beer. guzzler67 (1289), Hanover, Maryland, USA
