Commercial Description:
Bottle; Filtered.
Post Road Pumpkin Ale is a revival of a beer brewed by the early American colonists. Pumpkins were plentiful, flavorful and nutritious and they blended nicely with barley malt. Hundreds of pumpkins are blended into each batch of Post Road Pumpkin Ale, creating a beer with an orange amber color, warm pumpkin aroma, biscuity malt center and crisp finish. Post Road Pumpkin Ale is spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg.

[bottle] Spicy, earthy aroma with some nutmeg and cinnamon. Clear, dark amber color with some minimal lacing. Flavors are malty, with the standard pumpkin pie spices dominating. Spicy finish, with some hop character and slight residual sweetness. Medium bodied.

Bottle. Pours an orange-gold with a gold-tinted head. Very spicy aroma, nutmeg and cinnamon with sweet caramel. The palate delivers the same flavours: spicy caramel, lots of nutmeg, slightly perfumey.

Bottle. - Golden amber colour. Spicy and slightly toasty nose. Very spicy taste, with a clear taste of pumpkin and the spices used to brew it, finishing with a pretty distinctive drynesss.

12oz bottle. Pours a bright orange color with a small head that quickly dissipates to a ring. The aroma is of nutmeg, cinammon, cloves and squash. The taste follows suit, with a malt presence and some lemony hops that prove a little more assertive. Slight pumpkin flavor comes through. The mouthfeel is quite full and carbonated. The finish is long and spicy.

Draft at Taco Mac. Pours amber and clear. The aroma has a pumpkin spice quality with some neutral malts and a light graininess. The flavor follows the aroma: spicy, grainy, lightly malty. The finish is crisp, but a bit watery. The mouthfeel is light in body and crisply carbonated. Overall - perhaps a decent session beer, but rather plain.
