Bottle 0,5l. Nice ruby color. Great spectrum of aromas. Fruit, smoke, a little bit cherry juice. Finish is bitter, hoppy and dry. Great aromatic Dunkel. I like.

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2008 Amber color with little head. Aroma has strong chocolate and caramel, also hints of breadiness suits here nicely. These make aroma to be very strong, full and dimensional. After excellent aroma light body is little bit of disappointment. Sweet and tart flavor with notes of fruit, ending is very soft. Very nice dunkel indeed, aroma is one of the best I’ve had.

Roastmalty, chocolatey aroma. Taste very malty, with notes of coffee and a strong bitter chocolate taste, especially in the finish. Nice

UPDATED: NOV 11, 2005 500 ml screwcap bottle, bought in Bier Spezi Hamburg. Typical dunkel reddish brown colour, decent pale greyish brown head. Pleasant malty sweet aroma with notes of caramel, toast and bakery. Mellow nutty flavour with notes of dark bread and caramel, tolerable hops for a dunkel (Hallertau, Spalt and Tettnang). Nice.

Bottle, deep red-brown with an off-white head, aroma of malt loaf - malt, dried fruit, bread - plus a little toffee and smoke. Big toasty malty body with roast fruit notes, faint tartness, a light spicy hoppiness, a touch of toffee, and a light dry and roasty bitter finish. Very nice.

(Rating #3874)

500 ml bottle. From Germany. Thanks Jere!
Dark amber colour with small off-white head. Dry malty and slightly bitter hoppy aroma with chocolate and nuts. Dry grassy hoppy flavour with dark slightly roasted malts, hints of chocolate and tiny hints of metal. Good hoppy Dunkel.

Bottled. Reddish brown colour with small slightly off-white head, which vanishes quite quickly. Aroma is mild roasted notes, some mild raisins, caramel and toffee as well. Flavour is rather similar with very little bitterness. Rather sweet Dunkel.
