3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Brandman (969) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 13, 2011
Mahogany body, tan head. Chocolate, fudge, raisins, dark plums, yeast, porridge. Very nice that all the attributes are in the flavour. Could be little thicker.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Despotis (201) - Thessaloniki, GREECE - FEB 7, 2011
Dark redish brown head with a nice head.Smell sweet roasted malts, caramel, milk chocolate, nuts, some fruits.Tasty bitter hops, malts, light sweet, roasted bread, light salty, nuts, some dark fruits, dry feeling. It is an unusual dubbel because it is more dry, salty and has more hoppy bitterness than the others.Nice

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 delnoche (352) - GERMANY - DEC 29, 2010
33cl bottle pouted into a Chimay Trappist glass. Amber brown with two fingers creamy tan head. Aroma is sweet malt and soap. Flavor is sweet malt and earth. Mouthfeel is grainy. Not a great dubbel.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 rosenbergh (3145) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 15, 2010
330 ml bottle. From Oud-Turnhout, Belgium.
Dark brown colour with off-white head and lots of floaters.
Strong caramel/toffee aroma with dark fruits, chocolate and some hints of metal (only when swirling the glass). Flavour is first a bit less sweet but then hits caramel, toffee, hints of chocolate and dark fruits. Fizzy but slightly thin.
Very drinkable Dubbel.
3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Bloekie (191) - BELGIUM - JUL 11, 2010
Aroma of caramels. Taste of burned caramel with a hint of citric acid. Aftertaste is sticky with sour notes. Flavor is watery, not in the least alcoholic. Head is a nice beige that stays very very long.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Abio (1058) - Waasland, BELGIUM - JUL 3, 2010
Pours out of the bottle with a hughe light beige head that holds nice, and sticks to the glass. A deep darker orange-brown colour. Sweet smell of red fruits and some caramel. Same with the taste, a bit spiced, moderated biterness at the end. Nothing special, but for sure not bad neither.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 pivnizub (7022) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - MAY 3, 2010
Bottle: Chestnut-amber coloured, lots of UFO#S detectable, small persistent off-white head; caramel and traces of dried fruits in the sweetish nose; moderate sweetish flavour, light to medium bodied; short dark-malty and light bitter finish. O.K., not unpleasant.....
