33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden amber with a slowly collapsing light tan head. Fruity and light yeasty aroma. Flavour is mild roasted malt and mild overripe fruit. Goes into a more sharp fruity flavour before the finish. Ends with a light yeasty note and mild bitterness.

Light brown coloured bere. Malty little herby aroma. Sprankling little fresh palate. Ending is first fresh then ending hoppy and herby.

Grovlam (4106) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 9, 2008
Bottle. [Courtesy of yespr, thanks buddy] Large creamy beige head that mostly lasted. Light cloudy amber colour. Good display of lacework. Aroma of caramelized, nutty, brown sugar, grain, sweet fruit, yeasts. Over the palace came very balanced because of the roasted malty notes that made this less sweet then other Abbey Dubbel. Medium to full bodied with an average carbonation and mild alcoholic texture. Moderated sweet and mild bitter flavour. Roasted malty bitter lingering finish.

Creamy off-white head. Red-amber beer. Hardly any carbonation. Dark fruits in the nose. Surprisingly complex flavor: nuts, coffee, figs and prums. A bit of bitterness. A bit astringent to the palate.

330ml bottle (Gollem, Amsterdam)
Rich red, tiny head. Nutty aroma. Refreshing woody and slightly nutty taste, but also some fruity notes too, and pleasant dark malts. Slight drying aspect too. Nutty finish. No hint of 7% at all.

Skinnyviking (5472) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAR 8, 2008
High fluffy but lasting off-white head leaving nice curtains. Clear dark brown body. Sweet roasted barley malt aroma with caramel. Rather bitter caramel flavor with a good deal of carbonation and a long bitter aftertaste.
