2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 Rune (4667) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUN 2, 2011
330ml bottle, 9% abv, bought at a local grocery store. Near clear golden body, minimal white head, spotty lacing. Smell of dried fruits. Taste of dried fruits, honey sweetness and alcohol. Just too dry and sweet. Beyond par for a Belgian triple, I would say (hotel room, Brugge 02.05.2011).

Home 20110402 (33 cl bottle): A golden yeloow beer with a nice white head. The arome is malty, sweet, some alcohol, fruity/esters (apple, pear, peach, some banana). The taste is sweet and fruity (see aroma). The aftertaste is very sweet and sticky.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jgb9348 (3370) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - APR 1, 2011
Hazy golden coloured body with a nice white microbubbled head. Aroma of yeast, light hops and a strong malt presence. Full-bodied; Strong fruit flavour at first with a lot of apricots and pears with a big malt backbone and a honey finish. Aftertaste shows a lot of sweetness from fruit and some from honey with a touch of light spices. Overall, a good tripel, showing more sweetness and fruit flavours than most, with the same body and malt presence as others. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from La Bier Tempel in Bruxelles, Belgium on 02-January-2011, sampled in Amsterdam, The Netherlands on 02-January-2011 with a best by date of 23 October 2010 (crazy, since I just bought it today and its already past its prime)!
