bottle from beer planet. clear yellow, large white head. mild yellow fruity aroma, powdered sugar, mild belgian yeast. flavor is powdered sugar, faint yellow fruits, white caramel, sweet malts, syrup, tastes like if they have struggled to get the alc.% up. if You like sweet and bitter this is pretty good, the sweetness is quite sugary, but not cloying. the yellow fruits are a bit played down compared to Your ususal tripel.

Oct 2011: Having had the Postel Blonde and Dubbel I wasn’t expecting much from this beer which is why I served it up at an impromptu beer tasting after a Christening I attended. The 33cl bottle was poured into a Hoegaarden Grand Cru badged stemmed tulip, with very little sediment leaving the bottle. The result, a dark golden body, with a slight cloudy haze to it, almost an amber colour: a thin white head on top. Amazing aromas of Belgian yeasts and malty sweetness. The taste was typical Tripel, an alcoholic front with a sweetness that turns a little harsher as the mouth drys. I had the Lions share, but my two friends also thought it a good solid Tripel. Mouth and bodyfeel were both fine, so much better than the other beers I’ve had in this series.
