Bottle 0.33 l from Achel Kluis. Beige yellow with thick white head. Malty and a bit yeasty nose. Flavor is slightly citric, yeasty, doughy and sweetish malty with spiciness that I can’t really point at. Strongly alcoholic, but in a good way. Smooth carb and a bit bitter aft. Good.

Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Cloudy golden, rich creamy head. Almondy yeast aroma. Sweet and fruity, salty and softly malty with near full body. There’s Olde English Marmelade, syrup and bitter almonds. Alcohol is well hidden, but surface late as arousing esters. Full flavoured, but a bit sticky.

SilkTork (4691) - Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom, WALES - JAN 16, 2008
330ml bottle from Bier Tempel, Brussels. A strong pale ale well brewed to dryness yet with a fruity sweetness - high alcohol yeast produces attractive spiciness. Alcohol is noticed. Finish is slightly blurred. This is a standard Belgium strong pale ale / Tripel with the faults and joys of that. It doesn’t stand out as special, nor does it seem any worse than average.

MoritzF (7137) - Bochum, GERMANY - JAN 15, 2008
(33cl bottle) Hazy, golden colour with a big foamy white head. Slightly sweet, minimal sourish malty and yeasty fruity nose with light herbal hoppy notes. Light-bitter flavour, medium to full body, slightly fizzy on the tongue. Pale malt character, slightly citrus-fruity and yeasty; moderately dry, yeasty- and hop-bitter finish with a well-hidden alcohol, just detectable at the very end. Rather unspectacular but also fairly rounded Tripel.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 29 Sep 2007) Golden colour with frothy white head. Fruity nose with apricots, pineapple and citrus. Fruity, slightly spicy taste with notes of tropical fruit, dried fruit and pineapples. Decent, very fruity tripel.

Bottled@SBWF2007. Golden colour, mediumsized creamy white head. Aroma is hops, fruits, wheat and some spices. Flavour is very much the same with some mild hints of alcohol.

Appearance: amber orange color, transparent and homogeneous bubbles. Great head, rocky, consistent and very persistent. Good adherence al glass. Aroma: malty, soft candy; fruitiness of peaches, orange and tangerines. Intensive herbal-hoppy. No complex smell. Flavor: sweet pale malty; slight candy, vanilla and honey touches. Fruitiness of peaches, tangerines and ripe pineapple. Light sourness, coriander touch. Herbal-hoppy, with medium bitterness and high permanency. Bitter-fruity finish, like peel grapefruits. Palate: medium body, semi-oily texture. Low carbonation. Good balance, not very complex, nice hoppy. Advisable.
