Cask Conditioned at Banbury Beer Festival 06. Very dark brown with a creamy beige head. This is as good as mild gets, strikingly strong in flavours, rich plummy fruitiness intermingled with chocolate malts and coffee notes. Hugely complex on the tongue and a long sweetness on the close. Matched the Sarah Hughes Mild and was one of the first to go at the Festival. A great Mild.

Cask at GBBF 08. Oily black in appearance with a strong coffee aroma. Packs a bitter chocolate punch without any excessive sweetness and remains light and easy to drink.

Cask at Bedford Arms Speciality Beer House, Bedford. Dark red brown. Ashy aroma and taste with a bit of sourness. Some bitterness, but overall I thought this was missing something. Maltiness perhaps.

Cask at the Leicester Beer Festival. A very flavourful mild with roasted toffee dominating.
