Cask. Pour golden, thin lace top. Aroma melon and gooseberry. Light and softly fruity. No great fnish just a residual hoppy bitterness. A taste of summer that might acquire a sharper edge if chilled. I prefer it as it is.

Origin: Tap. Vessel: Plastic Cup. Supplier: The Wonky Cock (Market Harborough). Nose is soapy. Pours a cloud yellow. Sharp berry at front of mouth. Body is smooth. Would be more pleasant if slightly mellowed.

Cask handpump at The Queens Head, Chelmsford. A beer named after a great band, and a great album, though the beer doesn’t quite deliver the maximized net pleasure a hedonist strives to achieve! It’s a light, summery golden ale, fruity and low in carbonation. Not bad overall.

(Cask at Castle, Chancery Lane, London, 20 Nov 2012) Golden colour with foamy, white head. Fruity nose with citrus, peaches and biscuity malt. Fruity taste with notes of peaches, citrus, biscuity malt and a slight sweetness in a finish with a gentle citric bitterness. Medium body. Quite enjoyable.

Cask conditioned at The Royal Blenheim, Oxford. Pale gold with white head. Slightly tart and a sicky type flavour, some grapefruit perhaps. Not really to my liking.
