Aroma of lemon and grass. Hazy, golden, minimal white froth. Taste medium sweet with fruity flavours prominent. Slick texture soft but lasting on the palate. An Alco pop. Roll on winter.

Tried at the Threekingham Beer Festival. Hazy pale gold colour light fruit aroma. But the taste was weirdly sour.

Cask conditioned at The Lamb & Flag, Oxford. Gold with white head. Boiled caramel flavours from the off, toffee, then a sicky, fruity flavour. Not for me this one.

Cask at Rushden Historical Transport Society Club. Hazy gold with a bit of white head. Considerable lacing. Aroma of lemon sherbet, a bit of fresh citrus and strawberry. Bittersweet taste with a hint of peppery hop. Passable beer but in all honesty I’d like more considering the ABV.

Cask at the Merchants Inn, Rugby, 12/03/14. Very lightly hazed golden with a moderate off white head that retains well. Nose is straw, lemon rind, musty tones. Taste comprises orchard fruit, bready, musty fruit pangs. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, drying close. Very so so affair veering towards twiggy nonesense.

Cask (Isis, Sunderland) - Golden in colour. Earthy hops, biscuity malt and a hint of citrus in the aroma. Moderately hoppy and slightly sweet taste with notes of lemon, earthy hops and tea.

Hand-pulled pint in The Wrekin, a local ’real ale’ pub on 28th Feb 2014. Golden brew with a good white head. Decent enough blend: but a little too citrusy for my taste buds. I’m fed up with light coloured beers that smell and taste like toilet cleaner fluid. OK more than interesting or different. Body fine and it’s not a bad beer, just not for me on a cold winters night.

Cask at the Pembury Tavern, London - shared with Jack. Pours clear amber with a fine, white cream head. Light bready malt nose. Sugary malt flavor, some bread. Lightly syrupy, but not to great detriment. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately sweet finish with further bready malts, mellow bitterness. Simple, fine.

Cask @ The Pembury Tavern. The pour’s deep chestnut color with a small off-white head. The aroma’s rich malts. Some wood, cherry jam, caramel, light spruce and general spices. The taste is more rich berries. Caramel-dipped wood. Spiced chocolate. Smooth body. Overall, not bad! My rating doesn’t seem to reflect the general description of the beer. Maybe the Pembury mislabeled this...flagged for rerate.
