Cask at The Brewery Tap Ale House, Chester. A clear golden colour with a thin white head. Faint aroma of fruity malt, caramel and lemon. Taste of fruity malt, lemon, caramel and butterscotch. Light bodied and a smooth texture. A light butterscotch finish with a soft citrus hop aftertaste. Not a fan of this, doesn’t know if it wants be malty or hoppy.

Cask@The Criterion, Leicester. Bright golden beer with a reasonable head. The aroma is fruity and winey, and the flavour is dulled fruityness with yeastiness and dryness. Overall a plain but really dry golden beer.

On cask at The Devonshire Arms. Pours a blonde colour with a thin white head. Aroma of grassy hops, caramel and yeast. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Quite sweet to finish.

Cask, handpump at The Horse & Groom, Caulcott, nr Heyford, Oxon whilst out morris dancing with KBO 23.07.12 Pours gold with mid sized white head. The bitterness is safe but noted, there is a little vanilla amongst a light fruitiness, not an awful lot going on, however it is a decent well kept pint. A6 A5 T7 P3 Ov12

Cask conditioned gravity dispense Olde England Northampton 26/04/12. A yellow gold coloured beer which pours pretty much headless. Nice sharp lemony hops with good bitterness in the mouth. There’s an odd vinegar note in the nose which spoils, but it does taste nice.
