COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed for the chez Léon mussels/French fries chain, and also for the Brussels Airlines. Léon beer is pale and full-bodied. It has been specially concocted by Master Brewer Jean Pagura in collaboration with the Alken-Maes brewery to create a delicious combination to go together with the Belgian and Brussels dishes served at chez Léon. This beer is unique because it can only be tasted at chez Léon in the rue des Bouchers where it is served in a large, round glass, specially designed for it. It is the result of a clever mix of pale malts, spring and winter barley and rare hops from Germany and the UK . It derives its whole personality from a final addition of sweet and sour orange peel. This Belgian high fermentation beer is served from the barrel and is 7.2°. It is brewed at Jumet in the installations at the ancestral Union brewery.

Pours a clear-golden color with a bit of white head. The aroma is slightyl sweet with some spiciness and citrus notes. Tastes like the merging of a golden ale with a tripel; some spiciness, a bit off sweetness and some earthiness tinged with a lemon zest. I was pleasantly surprised. Notes: On tap at chez leon. There may be a descrepancy in the description as the website claims that it is brewed as St-Feuillien... "It is brewed at Roeulx in the installations at the St-Feuillien brewery."
