Golden in color, clear, minimal head, light sweetness, lightly bitter, light body, Overall I really enjoyed this beer. I’m surprised it isn’t rated much higher.
3.1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 CardsPackHawks (53) - Illinois, USA - JAN 5, 2013
Picked up on a visit to the brewery and restaurant. Went great with the warm pretzel, brat burger and beer cheese soup. The National Brewery Museum is worth a tour. This pilsener is smooth, crisp and clean with a malty finish.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Ughsmash (6669) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 27, 2012
Bottled. Poured clear, brilliant golden with a white head. The aroma picked up kind of dank bread and grainy notes with dusty earth and light floral accents.. clean, but almost to a fault because it was very reserved. The flavor found bread and honey sweetness at the core, with toasted grains laced throughout.. spicy and floral accents were interesting, but a touch sharp.. lemon zest and medicinal notes joined the spicy stuff on the fairly assertive finish. Light-bodied with tighter, prickly carbonation on the palate.. decent balance.. drinkable, but not great.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 dekester1 (260) - Neenah, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 15, 2012
Poured a clean, clear light gold with a light head and minimum lacing. Aroma was a mix of the hops and malts with slight pungency. Taste was predominately of hops with a nice malty backbone. Very easy drinking. Palate was decent but nothing to write home about. Overall, a clean, drinkable pilsner.

Bottle at the Casanova Beer Cave festival. Pale yellow pour, small white head. Grass, grain, lightly hopped - but overall a bit dull.

Draft at Old Fashioned. Filtered pale yellow-peach. Thin non-head. The noble hops carry it, while the malts are a little fruity and it displays sort of Ale-like tones,,not very Lagery..or true to style. Not outright bad, just sort of amateurish. Not one I’d seek out again.

Lemon and mild grain aroma. Golden with white frothy head. Malt, mild grain, and mild lemon flavours. Medium hop finish.

12oz bottle pours a clear straw in color with a small white head. Aroma is yeast, grains, malt, and hops. Taste is very light, hops, grains, malt, slightly floral. Crisp, clean, and refreshing. Pretty nice!
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 tronraner (2459) - Walland, Tennessee, USA - OCT 9, 2011
12 oz bottle. Pours clear straw yellow with soapy white head. The aroma is hay and some herbal hops and a subtle bready malt note. The flavor is quite herbal with some wood and cracker notes. The finish is woody with just a little bit of a metallic note and a dryish hop bite. Not outstanding, but pretty easy to drink.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 drpimento (1936) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 5, 2011
Not bad, not great. With an aggressive pour there was a small to medium sized white heead that soon disappears and no lace. Color is a clear yellow gold with a few bubble trails. Aroma is going in the direction of the Czech Pils- malt, grain, grass, hop. Flavor has gone a little too far in the butter diacetyl direction, plus the nose qualities. Body is ok and carbonation is just a touch soft. Finish is like flavor and of short to medium length and a bit of sweetness in there too, that is nicely balanced with the tang. Servicable.
