Enjoyed my first Potosi at Masons in Praire du Sac. Awesome beer. Sweet, refreashing. I’d get it again!

Picked up as part of a mix 6 pack during a visit to the brewery. This is one of the better brews from Potosi. A very enjoyable ale. Plus, all profits from Potosi go to charity.

Pretty good beer from the tapper. Malts, caramel, even some grains in there with mild roasting. Good overall ale.

Draft. Very malt oriented. Loads of toffee and caramel with some roasty bread. A slight hint of some light hops. Pretty darn good.

I used this beer when I brined a pork butt with my buddy Zach Shank. I really haven't tried it.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear amber with an average white head. Aroma of malt, grain, and caramel. Taste is caramel malt, grain, bread, and a hint of grass. Average.

Poured into a pint glass.
2.5 A: Faintly hazed medium orange color. Fizzy head fell as quickly as it formed.
3.5 S: Caramel and toastiness are the main attractions here. Pleasant neutral malt sweetness to round this out.
3.5 T: Again caramel and toast. Neutral sweetness. Not a lot of hops, but enough to balance the brew well.
3.5 M: Lighter medium to medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Clean and crisp with a light creaminess.
3.5 D: For some reason I thought this beer would suck ass (just based on the label and twist off bottle), but it turned out to be a solid, quite drinkable brew.

Bottle. Pale amber. "Pure malt" that smells like adjunct and grassy hops. Flavor is initially a bit of sweet caramel malt and, again, an adjunct corn taste that fades to an herbal/earthen hop bitterness, almost woody. Relatively dry, bitter finish.

Shocked it isn’t seen as better by more people. On tap, this is, to quote the late John Denver, "almost heaven."
