Shocked it isn’t seen as better by more people. On tap, this is, to quote the late John Denver, "almost heaven."

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Dark amber pour with a beige white head. Some lacing on the glass. Light bakery/bready aroma. Flavor is of fresh biscuits, malt, and toasted caramel. Thick, creamy, and buttery finish. Hops make a brief appearance at the end during the swallow. This looks okay, smells okay, and tastes okay, but the finish really brings it home. This is FAR better than I expected, and MUCH better than some other offering from Potosi.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma is more hops than malt. Nice medium body with a malty profile. Finishes with a crisp bite, just dry enough to go back for more.

From a 12 oz poured in a snifter. Pours clear bronze. Fizzy sweet malt aroma. Flavor is crisp and malty but still refreshing. Very appropriately hopped. One of the best English IPA’s I’ve had.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On draught at the brewpub in Potosi, Wisconsin. Pours a clear golden pale amber brew with a creamy white head that slowly dissipates and leaves behind an excellent lacing. Aroma of fruity and golden grain malt, some pear, and both flowery and grassy hops. Taste is light to medium bodied, lighter in carbonation compared to the Good Old Potosi beer, with flavors of golden grain malt, dry leafy hops, and a touch of iced tea. Finish has a light dry bitterness with some iced tea aftertaste at first and then a crisp finish. Another historical brand name "Potosi Pure Malt" has returned to Wisconsin’s southwest.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from a twelve ounce bottle.
Pours a dark straw with a nice sized off white head that leaves craggy clumps od soapy lace.
Aroma is similar to an English Pale. Mineral and caramel malt followed by herbal medicinal hops.
Flavor is sweet malt up front. Caramel and toasted bread with a hit of sweet dextrose. Hops come in the middle, enough bitterness, not much character but enough bitterness to cut the sweetness. Finishes dry with a substantial malt backing.
Mouthfeel is medium and the carbonation is usual for a bottled bitter, which is a bit higher than normal for the style.
Good beer, I would buy it again.

I thought this was a pretty decent brew.Poured a golden light color with a small head that dissapates to a thin layer of foam letting you know its still well carbonated.English grain smell with a clean and fresh water.Nice light malt taste, some yeast, lightly medium body.A little citrus/lemon taste towards the end and finishes very slightly sticky but clean and makes you want to keep drinking more.Easy drinkability.I was expecting it to be average and was turned off by the low ibu’s but turns out its more pale ale than expected with the 10 ibus. Now im curious about the others and may even take a road trip to the brewery.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle - Poured this one with real low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Golden amber with a nice foamy white head. Grainy and malty on the nose, with a good deal of yeast and a touch of tropical fruit. Taste has a nice malty base, smooth with a decent hop snap. Really nice fruity grains and a touch of sugary caramel. Smooth and well-carbonated. Not much to analyze, but easy drinking and decent taste.

Courtesy of motortoddhead. Pours gold with a thin white head. Smells of caramel, rosey, some sweet citrus. Tastes of pepper, earthy, some tea with a spicy finish.
