Tangerine IPA. Appearance: Light copper. Aroma: strong hop aroma with citrus/tangerine aromas. Taste: Medium-bodied, caramel sweet, robust flavor (from the Columbus hops) with citrus notes and tangerine flavor. This flavorful brew is a West Coast style IPA infused with 100% natural Tangerine juice. The addition of the Tangerine juice enhances the citrus flavors and balances out the hops. #PotosiBeer #TangerineIPA

On draught at Potosi Brewing Co. Served a nice reddish-gold with a decent head that faded to a full lasting lace. Aroma was of malt, tangerine and citrusy hops. Taste had the tangerine and malts up front with a solid IPA type hop finish. Mouthfeel was good. Even thought I am not normally a big IPA fan, I did find this to be a nice treat with a touch of tangerine juice added.

16oz can from Flannery’s in Oconomowoc. Pours more orange than copper with a white head. Nose is big citric fruit, tangy bittersweet, stone fruits, malts. Taste is of stone fruits, citrus, tangy. Alcohol is lightly present, slightly carbonated, the blend is solid and the body is medium. Finishes sweeter than bitter sweet and tangy and fruity. Nice, interesting effort. Decent 13.4

2/5/16. 16oz can from Hy Vee, Moline. Lightly hazed orange pour under a small khaki head, good lacing. Sweet tangerine aroma, light citrus hops, some caramel. Sweet tangerine flavor, doughy, citrus. Not bad.

Smell made me worried because it reeked of what I thought to be artificial tangerine. But the flavor was anything but artificial. Great IPA flavor with a muted tangerine that totally works. Finishes with a decent bitterness.

Wow. I looked this up to see what single digit score this abominable syrup shake was rated. I’m kind of appalled at how highly it scores. An underattenuated sugar slammed diacetyl bomb. I could not choke down a second sip. Truly awful.

Aroma is tangerine/citrus, pine and mild candy sweetness. The flavor is tangerine/orange, malts, mild fruit/candy sweetness and a very slightly syrupy/tropical fruit finish.

Pour is a murky orange with a small white head. Aroma is a way out there citrus fruit. From the hops or tangerine? I could not begin to tell you. Flavor is a bit sweet for my liking but the tangerine juice is in full force here. I don’t know if this can be called an IPA because what ever hop presence here is drowned out by the sweet tangerine juice. I love a good juicy tangerine and this wins point for being so over the top with fresh tangerine that it can’t be artificial.

On tap at Old Fashioned in Madison. Pours a bright orange with some lacing white head. Nose is very juicy, tangerine, orange, some white grape, a little candy. Flavor is the same, extremely juicy, orange, tangerine, a little blood orange, some honey, candy. Slick finish. It was perfect with brunch.

UPDATED: AUG 22, 2015 Pretty color from a tallboy to balloon tulip, orange dark copper, heady frothy lacey, retains well. Strong fruit hop aroma, mixed with bigger tangerine, sweet malts, fresh and fragrant. Taste hits you with citrus tangerine among malts caramel toffee, hops, more tangerine.some yeast, sweet/tart tangerine grapefruity light resiny finish. Pretty good, tangerine flavor is a bit strong, but otherwise a good fresh, fruit/ipa. Gets a little yeasty as it warms.
