Bottle. Hazy straw gold with white head. Light yeast, lemon, wheat malt, and mild vanilla. Flavor is a pleasant yeasty mix of lemon zest, vanilla, coriander and spice. Moderately bitter finish - a bit high for the style, but it works. Lightly sweet and yeasty finish.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jmohno (831) - Iowa, USA - OCT 25, 2011
Bottle to pint-very hazy pale yellow, some light head lacing, yeasty bready a little orange and corriander, mostly yeasty smelling- and not a real pleasant yeast smell either.Good mouthfeel, minerally middle somewhat flat with orange and lemon notes with a citrus crisp finish and some spice mild tartness. Some malt sweetness matched ok with a citrus tartness. Not bad, something i may have on ocassion
From a flight sampler at the brewery, ididnt think any of the beers were better on tap, they (especially the ipa, very noticably) was better in the bottle, the pumpkin is worth checking out great aroma(very pumpkin pieish-not all spice) but just good in taste.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 DasBierChef (1080) - Hudson, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 11, 2011
Normally not my favorite brewery or style, but this is a pleasant surprise. A nice buttery aroma meets a malty mouthfeel. Not bad!
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 drpimento (1936) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 5, 2011
Not bad, not bad. With an aggressive pour, a medium sized, off white head that soon settled to a light cover and a tiny bit of lace. Color is a hazy/cloudy light amber with some precipitates slowly sinking or staying in suspension. Aroma is very yeasty, with spice, malt, floral, and a bit of citrus. Flavor is similar to nose with yeast, malt, spice, and orange peel coming out much stronger. Body is good and carbonation is a little soft. Finish is like flavor and at first has good legs, then drops off sharp. Pretty good beer. Like to try it on draft. Great to cook with too, I bet.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 tronraner (2459) - Walland, Tennessee, USA - SEP 25, 2011
12 oz bottle. Pours cloudy light orange with white head. The aroma is quite bready with some very subtle spice hints. The flavor is also quite bready with a little bit of cookie-ish sweetness and a lemon zest hint. Finish is a little bit bland. There may be a hint of coriander in there, but the spicing is very low, barely noticeable (not necessarily a bad thing). Quite drinkable.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Brigadier (2230) - Bloomington, Indiana, USA - SEP 13, 2011
12 oz bottle
An excellently produced regional beer this was a good example of what breweries can do when they have experience but don’t try to be extreme. Reasonably priced the result is refreshing, flavorful, and does not leave the palate battered or bored.
Aroma / Appearance - The dirty white golden body was cloudy with hints of carbonation everywhere. A fringe of head was the color of pure white late fall frost. Malty lemonade, strong yeast, and white toast with a dash of lemon zest form a light but impressionable experience.
Flavor / Palate - Melted or ground down lemon rinds with yeast around the edges refreshes a thirsty palate. Fading fast the impression is short lived. If there is a flaw it might be the weakness of the finish. Even so this exceeded what I expected. I would definitely not complain if more was to come my way.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 nearbeer (3048) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 4, 2011
12 oz. Pale, hazy golden-orange with a small head. Nose is orange-lemon, spicy bread yeast and wheat. Flavor is spicy yeast, wheat, pollen, and resiny orange zest. Light-medium body is tingly and easily drinkable.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 BVery (4249) - Burnsville, Minnesota, USA - SEP 3, 2011
Tap at Maduro in Madison, WI. Semi-hazy yellow pour with a foamy white head. Nose of coriander, light citrus, and wheat. Taste is similar. Medium to light body.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 madvike (2077) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 2, 2011
Bottle - Pours lightly hazy yellow with a foamy white head. Light coriander on the nose, but not overdone. Sweet wheat--again, not cloying--with a nice orange overtone. There’s a little syrupy sweetness in there, and it might be a bit aggressively sharp on some whiffs, but wow--this is way better than I expected. Much of this is replicated in the taste, with light citrus, sweet wheat, and a lightly syrupy finish that transitions into a sweet graininess on the long finish. Well-carbonated, but doesn’t sting the mouth. Feels pretty fluffy and full. Jesus--blown away by the low ratings on this beer. I don’t give wits a second thought usually, but this was really, really good.
