KimJohansen (4299), Copenhagen V, Denmark May 12, 2008 Clear amber with medium off white head. Sweet fruity aroma with caramel and bready notes. Sweet flavor with notes of bread, caramel and malt. Ends sweet.
BeerViking (27), Brentford, Greater London, England Sep 11, 2008 33cl flip-top bottle bought in Germany. Opened very lively, poured deep red-amber with a thick yeasty-looking head. Malty and floral aroma. Nutty and slightly chocolatey body with hints of raisins, it’s thinner bodied than the flavour initially made me expect, though. Bitter-sweet finish. A very pleasant German equivalent to a British best bitter, or thereabouts. Nekronos (1949), Xalapa, Mexico Aug 19, 2008 Excellent one. After so many pilsner in Germany I finally find a regio where I can have good beers I like. TaxiDriver (547), Stadland, Germany Jul 30, 2008 Bottle. Malty smell of fresh bread, light yeasty. Small off-white creamy head rather fast disappearing; red body.
Bitter taste, medium duration. Rather flat carbonation, light to medium body, dry and light creamy texture. azlondon (502), Greater London, England Jun 27, 2008 Appearance: Dark/chestnut brown, basically no head.
Aroma: Pretty malty. Berries. Roasted hops.
Taste: Malty, bitter. Long, bitter aftertaste. Smooth, though.
