COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A KK ale known originally as a proper Burton ale. For those of you hop heads out there, this on is for you!! Toasted malt and biscuits with a ton of dark cherries and plums. Endive and hay. Spicy, Orangina hops. Big, rich and thoroughly tannic with a penetrating middle palette hop bitterness that continues into the dry finish.

Pour on tap at the brewery, dark brownish red pour with white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, hints of grass, orange peel, orange into a bit of fruity notes, hints of floral and herbal notes. Taste is a mix of herbal, grassy, earthy notes into a bit of grain, some caramel, toffee, touch of orange, grapefruit, finishing fairly bitter, slightly sweet. Like this one, pretty nice and very interesting.

On tap at JD Hoyd’s pours a bright amber/orange with no head. Aroma of muted caramel malts. Taste of caramel malts, some fruit, and a bitter hop presence. Hops and malts just don’t match up well here, they’re really fighting against each other/

Sampled on tap at Pour Decisions. Pours a copper color with white head. Caramel, earthy, bitter, toast flavors. Alright.

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2013 Tap at Happy Gnome. Not the best glass but scores high marks for appearance. Unfortunately downhill from there. Little bit of an ashen smell...maybe vegetal or hoppy. An underwhelming flavor heavy on sweet malt that falls flat at the end. Not enough hay. Another letdown from a below average brewery. I?d rather watch A Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D while being punched in the arm than drink this (Tim) Burton ale. (that’s what we call a reach)

On tap September 28, 2013 at ABR. Orangish brown pour with some head. Granted it was getting late in the event, but this didn’t do much for me. With a name like this, the beer needs to be so good you would consider leaving your spouse for it.

Nice malt and hop balance beer. Dark fruit adds another layer. On tap at MN State Fair.

Growler at RBSG. Pour is orange with white head, great looking beer. Lots of floral hops and biscuits on the nose and tongue.

Sampled at RBSG. Pours clear amber with a thin foamy soapy head that leaves a wispy film. Aroma smells of watery malt faint earthy muted hops and a slight spice in the background. Taste is bitter water that comes off with subtle earthy hops and spice, very mild flavor. Palate is thin watery and dry.
