3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at the brewery. Dark goldish brown color with a tall head. Dank and piney aroma with some citrus notes. Moderate to bracing bitterness. Light citrus and grapefruit flavor. More dank and vegetal character. Alcohol is quite hidden.

Bottle share thanks to Homer321. Malty hoppy caramel and piney aroma. Much of the same in the flavor...caramel malts, moderate hop character, piney and yummy,

Wasn’t a fan of this, very malty, relly non-descript hoppiness, not that great.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle @ bnielsen13. Thanks Brad! Pours a hazy deep reddish orange appearance with a light tan head. Mild caramel, a bit burnt, somewhat herbal, lightly floral, slightly spicy hoppy aroma that doesn’t have much going on. Somewhat tangy, a bit rich caramel malty, woody, grassy bitter hoppy flavor. Ok.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bartender described it as "Surly Furious, but more aggressive." I'd roll with that. It's hoppy -- first flavors have a hint of something floral, but the aftertaste is weak and synthetic. Not a bad beer, but not a favorite.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Had this at the 2013 Beer Dabbler in Saint Paul. This IPA was not balanced it was off on hops and felt low on malt as well.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: FEB 19, 2014 Moved old rating to correct 2013 edition. Amber beer on tap at Grumpys in Roseville and sold under the Bent name. Dry, grassy hops and dry malt. A lotle oily, which is ok. Bone dry palate. High abv is hidden in the flavor.

3.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from bottle, # 7 of 500 purchased at brewery. Pours a medium copper color with little head. Not too hoppy, floral and malt and roasted carmel aroma. Not what I was expecting, but tasty none the less.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
There’s some discussion as to how best to categorize this beer. That’s a good thing, in that it suggests that this new Roseville, Minnesota-based brewery is willing to be innovative. Myself, I would call this beer an Imperial Amber. Amber, caramel color with a light head, the malts are intensive, though grassy and moderately vegetal, but the hops are also much in evidence, though not giving rise to a classic IPA/DIPA aroma (muted citrus, not vibrant grapefruit or anything). Drinkable and decent, the finish isn’t harsh, but this isn’t the kind of a beer that is going to get people exclaiming that they’ve found the elixir of life. (Bottle #2 of 500, bought from brewery)
