Pour on tap at APN 2013, hazy straw yellow pour with white head, aroma brought notes of biscuit, salt, nice lemon, slight wheat into some lactic, lemony notes, slight funk but its mainly lactic. Taste is clean, nice lemon, salty notes with a hint of funk, biscuit and bready notes into yeast, lemon, lactic, finishing fairly tart, slightly yeasty. Nice.

I’m an evangelical for Pour Decisions at this point, it is true, but not an uncritical one: Pour Decisions has had a few beers that haven’t impressed me, but all the same, they have had many, many beers that are extremely good and very inventive. This is among their best. Here’s a beer that, by style, has few really exceptional examples, and they have interpreted it to be a spectacularly interesting and drinkable beer. You’ve got a rather pronounced sour and acidic lemon driving much of it, but in the aroma and parts of the palate there is a subtle saltiness...really, just a salty edge, mostly in the aroma. Thoroughly enjoyable and extremely drinkable. More American brewers should be paying attention to what Pour Decisions is doing. Bottle #194/250.

Bottle... This beer rocks!… Pours hazy and deep-caramel in color, with a brief, creamy, off-white head. The aroma is citrusy and acidic with only a hint of coriander. Light to medium-bodied with lively carbonation. The flavor is a fantastic medley of lemony sourness, clean acidity and “just-enough” salt, which becomes more evident as the beer warms. Finishes tart and lightly salty. Kudos to Bvery for shipping this subtle beauty my way!

Bottle -- thanks, J! From sketchy notes. Pours mostly clear gold. Reminiscent of red laffy taffy, berry + citrus + candy + a little salt, some pepper. Light body.

Aroma was weird kind of had a Salon/perm smell going on. Taste was awesome though, one of the best Gose I've had. Great mouthfeel as well as decent carbonation. Very good beer overall. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a hazy yellow with a decent head and some lacing on the glass.

The aroma is earthy and bready, a little odd... in a good way, a touch mild.

Nothing about the aroma really lets on that the beer is going to taste the way it does... it’s really very tart, nicely lemony, earthy, and puckeringly sour. Sour in a way you rarely get from sour beers it seems totally lactic with not a trace of vinegar character at all. Really bright, really enjoyable, basically dry. The salty character is fairly mild but well integrated with everything else going on here & lingers a little on the sides of the tongue.

Despite the aggressive sourness this is really pretty easy to drink, sharp on the palate but light enough to balance that sharpness.

Gracious this is nice.

Bottle from taproom. Something of a gusher upon opening. Pours hazy golden with no discernible head. Very nice nose with crackers, lightly sweet dough, floral notes and just a tiny hint of acidity. Body is very full, wheaty texture, almost no sweetness in the flavor, several levels of acidic tartness throughout the sip which pucker the cheeks a bit and sticks to the sides of the tongue minutes after drinking.

My favorite gose to date. Strong wheat character, coriander is present but not dominant, lactic sour but not overwhelming. Great beer.

Bottle from a friend. What a wonderful Gose. Fresh, bright and spicy without being coriander ’soup’. Lots of lactic tartness without being a lemon bomb but maybe a bit too much for my taste. If the acid was a little lower it would be much easier to drink more of and be perfect for me anyway!

Bottle from a friend. Thanks Scot! Pours straw with very light hazing at the top of the bottle. Fizzy head. Nose is toasty with a wheat note dominating, followed by lactic acid. Herbal notes from the coriander as well. On tasting, the salt is at a perfect level, just adding a minerally quality. Herbal with lower acidity and a malty richness. Superb stuff.
