On tap at The Alibi Room in Gastown. Almost black, with a nice tan head. Heavily and nicely roasted malts are at the forefront, with both chocolate and coffee impressions. Yep!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Boston round from the brewery. Served in a tulip. Pours a opaque brown with a light brown head. Aroma: Slight roasty nuts, raisins, hint of banana, toffee. Palate: Medium bodied, fizzy, long, slightly dry finish. Very tingly. Taste: Subtly sweet start, subtly bitter finish. Not too roasty for me.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled during VCBW 2013 at the River Rock Casino Resort pouring brown in color with a small light beige head that leaves some spotty lacing behind. Aroma is light roasted grains and caramel. Taste is a chocolate and caramel malty sweetness with a light roasted grain bitterness. Light to medium bodied with light carbonation. A mild easy drinking porter that would pass off as a good dark session ale.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
650ml bottle. Mahogany with fast-fading beige head. Up front roast aroma with cocoa and burnt coffee. Weakly sweet, like thin syrup that settles in the back of your mouth. On the positive side: great label art.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
650 ml bottle. Pours brown with red hints and light white head. Aromas of cocoa powder, biscuit, and dry roasted malt. Flavors of cocoa, nuts, and light burnt malt, plus an odd hint of something like olive oil. A light bodied, easy quaffing porter. No explosive flavor bomb though...

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at the Alibi Room, pours an amber-tinged dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of slightly tart toasted malts, a bit of cocoa, and some infected notes. Flavour seems slightly infected with slightly tart notes, toasted malt, and some subtle fruity notes. Seems a bit off, but still decent.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at the brewery
Brown color, with small head. Light aroma of roasted malts and cardboard. The mouthfeel is weaker than usual Porter, it has mild flavor of roasted malt and light flavor of chocolate; there is an impression of milk (lactose-like); the bitterness seems lower than the given 33 IBU.
Still simple, but not bad.
