theisti (1640), Leawood, Kansas, USA Mar 30, 2007 Tap at the brewpub. Full black pour, smallish head. Aroma is all coffee, with maybe a twinge of roast malt. Taste is medium bodied with the espresso taste right up front, though nicely blended and balanced. Overall a decent beer. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA Oct 9, 2006 tap at Augusta Bottoms Beerfest alongside vyvvy. pours pretty much black with a light brown tinge around the glass even when held up to the sun. aroma screams expresso beans-fresh ones! flavors are all expresso with some nice chared bean notes. really not much beer here, but this could pass for coffee in a mug-seriously! i could drink this at work and nobody woud know. body is somewhat thin, but really not detracting. cool and novel beer here. vyvvy (2023), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA Oct 7, 2006 Sampled at Augusta Bottoms Beer Festival 2006. Poured blacker than night - I couldn’t get anything but black even when held to the sun. There is also a good looking brownish orange head. The aroma is all dark expresso with beer not being detectable. Medium / light body with little carbonation. Much lighter than you would think for something this dark and aroma so bold. The taste is all expresso with not much of a beer taste. This is great if you are a big coffee fan.
