3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the brewpub. Color is dark amber to a reddish copper. Head is beige. Surprising fruit overtones to the flavor. Also, some roasted flavor. Really pleasant palate, nutty. Not mild. Carbonation a little high for the style.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Decent beer. Looks very appealing, but again felt kind of watered down while maintaining a strong aroma. Worth getting just to say "Southbound Nut Brown."

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Sweet, slightly bready aroma. Clear medium brown color, looks nice, in fact. However, this is very sweet for a brown (caramel and bread malt flavors), and the hops are practically unnoticeable. Finish is also quite sweet, and has some effervescence. This is the sweetest brown I’ve ever had. Lacking complexity and balance, and anything to make me recommend it, unfortunately.

Absolutely the worst beer this place has to offer. Complete syrupy taste. Almost medicinal.
