Stlll, it was decent anyway. The body was black with a light brown head. The aroma had coffee, glazed donuts and milk chocolate. The taste was good coffee with some dark bittersweet chocolate. the lifeless body detracted from the pleasant taste. Dammit, take this off nitro! tjthresh (1782), Greenfield, Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 10, 2006 Pitch black with a chocolate milk colored head. Light roasted aroma with maybe a touch of lactic. Mochaccino-ish flavor and finishes with a nice dryness. High carbonation. Velvety. Braudog (3789), Dayton, Ohio, USA

This has a medicinal nose and a nasty bitter twist that isn’t appetizing. The flavor was downright gross. SledgeJr (3032), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 7, 2005 Updated: May 15, 2007On tap at the brewpub. Black in color with a dark brown head. At first, it tingles the tongue, then the roasted flavor coats your mouth. Finally, it emerges as a dry stout. Has a level of hop bitterness not observed in their porter. UPDATE 4/2007: On nitrogen. A beautiful pour. A thick creamy-headed black beer. Mild roasted aroma of mexican chocolate. Milky texture. Roasted malt is upfront and strong, but mellows as it yields to the milky slightly sour smoothness. Long burnt coffee finish. I raise my original score of 3.1 by half a point. The Stouts at Boulevard and McCoys are both better. If you’re a fan of Stouts, you should order it when there. Just nothing to go out of the way to get. Indra (2041), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 8, 2003 Mocha aroma, some toffee, like an iced coffee drink. Rich, black ebony color with a tan head, not as full as the nitro would lead one to believe, with great lacing. Nice coffeeish flavor, roastiness and cocoa combined. Finish is dry and highly roasted. Creamy mouthfeel due to nitro, but not too watery like some nitro stouts. Could it maybe only be partially pushed with nitrogen? Roasted coffee finish, chocolatey and toasted, with some sweetness in the aftertaste. Really not too bad, definitely one of the best nitro beers I've had. OldJack99 (114), USA

Very chocolaty with a subdued roastiness. Goes great with their steaks. The one bad thins is it is served on nitrogen so it loses many flavor points and aroma points.
