Colin Lenfesty’s award-winning Russian Imperial Stout aged in Heaven Hills bourbon barrels. Exceptionally smooth and complex.

A: Poured jet black with a nice tannish cap, some lacing present S: Roasted notes, very light bourbon, some cocoa and booze T: Roasted malts, a nice cocoa sweetness and presence with a light booze sting but this beer mutes the booze very well. There is a light wood and bourbon presence but I wanted a bit more. M: Medium to big body, well carbonated O: Pretty good and my second favorite Powerhouse beer behind Brass Monk

Growler; thanks Colin for sharing more of your tasty brew with us!! Thin dark brown with trace dark tan head; chocolate, coffee, light roasty malt and sweet bourbon; dry, roasty with a big does of sweetness to round it out; plenty of bourbon too but blends delicately and evenly throughout; dry, sweet and roasty in the finish; damn good

Colin you are the man! This was an awesome beer that held its own besides Jaywalker. In my opinion, I even enjoyed it more! Lots of bourbon and wood on the nose. Chocolate, and roasty earthy bitterness as well. Really loved the bourbon on the nose with this. Black pour, thin tan ring. Nice looking. Bourbon shines through in the beginning and is followed by coffee and roast, some alcohol warmth, and a nice earthy bitterness. Lots of body, very viscous. Super complex, lots of barrel. CHocolate, roast and coffee ride out the finish. Dry lingering mouth feel. Awesome!
