3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy, opaque mustard color with ring of head. Musky, distinguishing German nose, wheaty and full of clove and banana with a touch of sourness and uric acid. Pleasurably full in body with thorough wheatiness. Lacks effervescence, but is otherwise a solid example. Green banana flavor increases to the detriment as the experience wears on.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a golden blond with a light cloudy haze, thick cap of cappucino-like foam. Aroma is of bananas up front followed by cloves hinting at vanilla. Banana flavor is well represented, more of an american wheat beer than true hef, cloves and spice are on the back end. No off flavors. Mouthfeel is spot on, good carbonation and moderate attenuation makes for a refreshing finish with substantial body.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy deep gold with a thin white head. The beer has a lovely strong banana aroma. There’s a good citrus lemon tartness to the flavor with plenty of cloves and banana esters. I am surprised that this is such an accomplished german-style hefeweizen.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy apricot with a lacy white head. Spicy banana nose. Medium body, light carbonation. Sweet banana nut taste with a spicy (cloves) finish. This really seems to be spot on.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at the brewpub. Cloudy medium coppery amber. Thin, short-lived white head. Beautiful fresh banana nose. It’s almost cloying, but not quite. Gorgeous creamy light body with banana and clove mid-palate right where they should be. Very straight down the line interpretation of a hef, but wonderfully executed.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cloudy yellow, no head. Aroma is light and fruity with hints of clove, wheat, and citrus. Wheat up front followed by light banana and bubblegum. Finishes a little tart and is pleasantly drinkable.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A spicy bite tingles the nose, crisp on the palate with some wheaty qualities that are tame at first and then really begin to come through in the tail. Light bodied with some banana hints and coriander. Not overly impressive, but not bad either.
