3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
11.2 oz bottle into a footed pilsner glass.
A: Pours a dark chestnut color. The head is a creamy-looking one finger offwhite shade. It fades away at a decent rate, but leaves a miniscule ring of lacing on the glass.
S: There’s a pleasant nuttiness at first, with even more pleasant grassy hops hidden beneath that. Hints of coffee abound; the aroma has a real hazelnut vibe I enjoy. The aroma could be a bit bolder, otherwise I really like it.
T: At first, the hazelnut qualities from the aroma trickle down to the flavors. After that, it transitions to more raisin-y tone near the back end, before a touch of hops cleanse the finish some. It’s too sweet, I think - some more grassy hops on the back end could have really made this one special.
M: This is a bit more lumbering than one would expect from a 4.5% dark lager; this has both a positive and negative effect. On the plus side, it helps give it a richer feel, but at the same token, it doesn’t have the drinkability it should feature. Carbonation is soft, which is a good match for the treacly texture.
O: Being a Czech dark lager, I expected more Saaz hops. It’s certainly well made, but like I said, it’s just too sweet at the end of the day. Still pretty good.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Copenhagen 30/6 2015. 50 cl bottle from Meny. A very "natural" beer if you should believe the label. Brewed by natural processes using natural ingredients. Pours dark copper brown with off-white head. Aroma is dark roasted malts, cocoa and caramel. Soft carbonation. Taste is quite sweet. Sweet caramel with hints of cocoa and a very mild bitterness in aftertaste. Quite average Czech dunkel. And very natural.

1.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
I’m thinking of saving what’s left in this half liter for a fine salad dressing. I’m positive that is the true purpose for this beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Produces up a radiant, translucent ruby brown with a shortlived tannish fluff. Aroma has hints of rusted swarf and blood over subtle cocoa and savoury, dried fruits. On the palate it yields a mild astringency above sweet toffee malts and hints of cola beer. Soft tannins. Not long in the finish, dries out somewhat. Quite thin cold as it was served near freezing. Fills out modestly when it warms. Good malt backdrop. Dusty and earthy upfront with a praline-like nuttiness mid-palate. Overall not too shabby. Definitely not one to be served chilled. Quaffable. 3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a clear dark reddish/brown with an inch of off white foam.
Smell is of earthy hops, grain, some sweet malty notes.
Semi sweet, semi hoppy, very little grain in the taste. Delicious and only 4.5% abv. Even the mouthfeel is nice.
Excellent Dark Lager.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours clear reddish amber. Minimal tawny head.
Aromas of smoke and cereal. Also iron and a little coffee.
Starts watery, although a powerful carbonation makes it cover the mouth. Not really sour nor bitter. Medium finish. Simple but drinkable.

2.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Too sweet for my taste. Sweet dominate the beer, no room for other components. It’s a light beer, probably much more preferred by ladies.
