3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
this beer had a dark brown pour with some ruby at the bottom of the glass, and made a one finger or more off-white head that receded to a thin cover and ring, the effervescence was medium, there was a single good stream of bubbles in the center of the glass and a few small streams that left a larger than dime size mound on top of the beer and a few small mounds of bubbles, this beer left spots and small fingers of lacing on the glass,
there were aromas of dark toasted malt, bread, some earth malt and chocolate in the background, and a little sweetness,
the hops were very light,
the flavors were dark toasted malt, bread, nut and chocolate, bread and caramel sweetness,
the finish had a light hop bitterness, and the malt flavors trailed in the finish,
the mouth feel was a little less than medium and felt creamy on the palate,
a nice Dunkel.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Poured from bottle to glass. Deep dark red with off-white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is crazy. Sweet, malty, bready, banana & clove, molases, esthery. Mouthfeel is pretty nice with medium body and moderate carbonation. Flavor is sweet through and through with a slightly sharp CO2 finish. Overall, this is a crazy malty lager that is reminiscent of sweet bread in a bottle. I’m really not sure whether I want to love it or hate it, but it is very interesting nonetheless.

500ml bottle served at Nyhavn 17. Dark brown body, clean. Beige head, dotted spots of lacing to the glass. Roasted malty nose. Taste of mid-sweet malts, cardboard dry. Roasted bitter endnotes. Rather thin in the mouth. Ok and drinkable (in friendly company, Copenhagen 06.12.2013).

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Aroma: Mostly reminds me of old coffee and stale spiced bread. Feels like it’s barely hanging onto life. Appearance: Kinda scary, actually. Looked kinda chunky with big chunks of yeast suspended in the dark amber liquid. Not only that, but there’s quite a bit of it floating near the surface with the suspicious-looking head. One of only two beers I’ve rated a one in appearance. If I die today, you’ll know why. Flavor: Not as bad as I feared. Mostly matches the nose, but seemingly non-fatal (at the moment). Actually, somewhat decent. A little coffee up front with some light spiciness that follows; the finish is semi-sweet and not the least bitter. Palate: Medium body, creamy texture, flat carbonation, long finish. Overall: Well, I survived. No lousy t-shirt, either.

Bottled 500ml. From Tallinn. Deep ruby color, nice beige head. A bit milky, caramelly aroma. Medium-bodied. Caramel, quite milky, some metal, harsh maltyness. Sweetish with Saccharin added. Industrial but not hopeless.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
