12 oz. bottle from Errl. Pours a deep, opaque brown with a small dark tan head. Aroma of roast, coffee, tobacco, red and green chiles, dark chocolate, earth, red wine grapes, and some char. Flavor of dark chocolate, coffee grounds, char, earth, red chiles, burnt brown sugar, tobacco, and pennies. Medium body, low to moderate carbonation, and a rich, roasty, metallic mouthfeel. It’s okay. I’m sort of mystified by the ratings on this one.

bottle, from trade with soonerchamps, real god aroma, sweet, spice. Chocolate, coffee, chilies, marshmallow. Dark orangy brown color, ok head that faded quickly to a ring, little to no lace. Sweet flavor. Heavy body, thick creamy oily mouthfeel, spiced sweet finish. Very nice. So glad to get my hands on this. Wonderful aroma and flavor, just a great beer overall

Poured a black color from the bottle with aromas of chocolate, subtle chilles, light cinnamon, roast and some earth. Flavors matches the aromas nice viscosity as well. Not overly boozy for the abv.

Bottle, no date, into snifter. Black, small ring of tan head. Aroma of red pepper, chocolate, copper pipe, soft vanilla, bit of pasta. Body is medium, slightly foamy, soft tingly carbonation. Taste is sweet, chocolatey, some tangy alcohol, light hop character, drying finish with a soft chili burn. Nice. Overly drying over time though.

Svart farve med beige skum. Lukt av sjokolade og vanilje. Smak av sjokolade, lakris, bek og kaffe. Mørk, fyldig og kompleks. Tap @ Melkebaren.

Flaske medbrakt av esp0r på dags hyttetur. Sort oljeaktig viskositet. Noe skum. Lite karbonert. Smaker brent malt, kaffe og lakris. svært fornøyelig.

Bottle, picked up at ’Brewdog Online (I think?), consumed at Crystal Palace Campsite, London, Saturday 4th October 2014. Immensely smooth, creamy and indulgent. Black in colour with a huge foamy beige head. Everything about this seems super smooth, the roastiness, creaminess, chocolate, chillies and even the alcohol is barely noticeable it is so well intergrated. I like this but you know sometimes things need an edginess or something else to lift it and this doesn’t have that, but it is very good. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov14 3.7
