Bottle at Waypoint Public. Pours a coffee black with a small tan head. Nose is rich with a full roast coffee and nice dark chocolate notes. Wonderful full coffee flavor on the entry with a sweet vanilla and chocolate undertone. The chili is really in the finish and is far from over powering but there with a nice twist. Wonderful mouth, creamy with a bit of astringency to open up the buds. Really nice brew.

Aroma of intense coffee, roast, chocolate, tootsie rolls, booze. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, tootsie rolls, booze, green hops, coffee, mild vanilla. Medium bodied, boozy, strong lingering bitterness.

Bottle from Beermoth, Manchester. Clear, dark brown. Halo of milky coffee coloured head. Dark chocolate caramel. Chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Light, woody cocoa. Taste is full on bitter. Some dryness. Plenty of vanilla for balance. Light chilli heat towards the end. Palate is fairly light, given the ABV. Finishes spicy dry. Light bitter. Subtle heat last off. Lovely desert beer, that belies its strength.

Keg at Brewdog, Stockholm. Pitch black, small beige head. Big aroma of cacao and coffee. Sweet and full bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Heavy and sweet, coffee with far too much sugar, perfumy vanilla and slight chili heat. Somehow artificial and shallow. Not my cup of tea.

12 oz bottle. Dark brown with tan foam. Nose is ashy chocolate, chili, espresso and vanilla bean. Silky medium body with a buzz. Taste is dark chocolate, spicy chili, raisin and coffee but leaving a strange burnt clove aftertaste. Surprised this is 13%.

Bottle shared by krazy lraddel who brought a nice horizontal to the tasting... Thanks man! Pours intense dark brown with a nice dark brown head. Lots of Jalapeno in the nose, together with green paprica. High on the roast in the body, dark espresso and very dark chocolate. A bit too high on the hot spices.
