Birra is a light, sessionable farmhouse ale. It is crisp with notes of black pepper and orange and goes perfectly with food.

Pours a light hazy/milky gold with a thick white head. Aroma of Brett, pineapples, lemon, wheat and spices. Taste is light, fruity, pineapples, citrus Brett, light funk. Crazy good everyday saison.

Bottle: Thanks, Travis. Muddled sunshine, a bone-white film spreads across the top of the brew & huddles closely at the circumference. Aroma of musty lemon, bubblegum, clove, orange zest, damp farmhouse hay. Almost like a farmhouse crossed with a traditional witbier. Huge farmhouse yeast & funk vibe in the flavor... Loads of barnyard notes with drying yeast, wet cotton, faintly tart Brett, lemon, & a sharp, spiced finish. Drying mouth feel, light & carbonated well. Not bad, but I wanted something more... Didn’t "wow" me like many of Prairie’s other farmhouse ales. Still decent, though.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Supermarket Liquor Fort Collins. Pours a milky, dull yellow orange appearance with a white head. Very peppery, pineapple/ pear fruity, slight banana aroma. Even a bit of dankness from the hops in the nose. The flavor is a bit bready, moderately herbal bitter, white fruity flavor. A fair amount of spiciness. Definitely some pear and dull apple. One of my least favorite brews from Prairie.

Draft to taster. Looks good for the style; a very slightly hazy light gold with thin white head that dissipates into lacing pretty quickly. Smells solid; a nice palance of yeast and spice with a touch of sweetness. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. A solid example of the style.

Tap. Poured clear yellow color with an average frothy white head that was lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy yeast, citrus and spice aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium complex sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Complex drinkable beer.

12 oz bottle purchased at Royal Liquor in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a slightly hazy yellow golden with a one inch white head that falls loosely. Nice lacing left on the glass. The aroma is grain wheat malt, straw, hay, soft herbal and a faint phenolic yeast character. Fresh nose. The taste is the grain of the wheat and malt upfront, turning towards straw and herbal lemon soft bitterness and finishing with the herbal, spice phenol of the yeast. The palate is light bodied, soft active carbonation, and a dry earth softly bitter finish. Really easy drinking beer.
