Birra is a light, sessionable farmhouse ale. It is crisp with notes of black pepper and orange and goes perfectly with food.

Bottle. Pours hazy yellow, with a big creamy head. Aroma is yeast with notes of wood and pepper, kandi and malty notes of doughy bread, as well as some farmyardy notes of grass, berries and earth. Medium to full body, with lively carbonation. Flavour is peppery yeast, with notes of wood and sugar, sweet malty notes of bread, cereals and honey, as well as some perfumey and rustic earthy notes. Quite sweet finish, and a tad too sweet to be tremendously quaffable. Still enjoyable.

12oz. Is what it is - Prairie’s version of a 6er beer - and it’s dank. Full on sessionable saison here. Grainy, slight hay, hints of spice. Excellent for what it is.

Dirty golden beer with fast falling head leaving just a thin head on top. Pretty nasty looking clusters of something resembling snot in there plus all the yeast bits floating about. Smell is moldy with some herbs. Taste is mild citrus, bread, and something that I wouldn’t call black pepper but maybe a green pepper or other vegitable. Not really that tasty and beginning to wonder if this was a bad bottle.

Above average saison. Not overly exciting but at 4.4% it’s pretty awesome. Probably more flavor than a lot of Belgian singles.

Pretty good, nothing that will change your life but it’s a saison and it tastes good. Light sweet peppery aroma with slight bubble gum. Taste is sweet, more of that pepper and a breadiness. Overall it’s a nice tasting fresh saison.

draft at pickled pig, billed as crisp cracker malts, herbal hops and fresh pepper...pours is light yellow saison with good carbonation..nose is all saison and a pretty damn good farmhouse ale at that..extremely light bodied, easy to drink, dry finish, with some spicey character..does pair well with food..how is it that downstate gets Prarie and upstate doesn’t see this at all? Remains a mystery?

Pours a cloudy lemony yellow. Two inch head. Honey lemongrass, wheat on the nose. Heavy carbonation. Funky earthy flavors, very herbal. A very drinkable summer ale.

One word: delicious. Very light and crisp, subtle pepperness and Orange flavors. Very easy to drink and goes great with food. Definitely a beer that I'll be buying again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
