Birra is a light, sessionable farmhouse ale. It is crisp with notes of black pepper and orange and goes perfectly with food.

35 cl bottle @ home. Pours hazy yellow with some sediment and a white head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma and flavour are: herbs, citrus, spices, and yeast - with a slightly dry finish.

Birra is very light in color and a bit cloudy. It is very crisp with some nice bitterness emerging on the back palate. White pepper is a prominent portion of character but leaves room for complexity consisting of an array of subtle notes in the vein of orange blossom and sage.

Bottle from Mikkellers webshop. Smell is sweet with tones of bananas, wheat and fruits. It pour a bright yellow colour with a slight haziness and a rich white creamy head. Taste is justt wonderful. A very fresh sweet taste which isn’t too much and a slight bitterness. perfect for a hot summer day. Palate is just what you wish for in a saison, thin but very distinct. Overall one of the better beers I’ve tried in this style.

355ml bottle from The Wine Emporium 110714. This is my first beer from these guys and it is a cracker. Looks very cloudy when poured into the glass but the aroma and flavour are outstanding.

A fruity citrus fragrance combines with soft florals and a touch of earthiness to provide a gental aroma. A hazy light yellow color with a thin rapidly deminishing white head and no lacing seduces the first sip. Yeast, citrus, florals and modest malt notes, combine with a healthy, but balanced taste of spice, all culminating in a dry refreshing finish. Medium-light body with a crs carbonation. Overall, another rewarding beer from the brewers at Prairie Ales.

Bottle in summer house with friends during semi finals @ Argentina vs Nederland. Pours hazy dirty yellow with a very thin and fizzy white head. Not exactly a beauty. The aroma is amazing though. I get notes of fresh pears, white pepper, sweet fruity esters, wheat, Brett, elder flower and weak notes of hops. Taste is quite dry and with a decent amount of bitterness. Nice notes of pepper, spice, sweet esters, Brett, some hops, pears, green apples, elderflower and some straw. Very rural and sessionable!

Bottle (12 oz). Hazy yellow/golden with a medium white head and heavy lacing. Aroma is moderately peppery with orange notes, very yeasty and light coriander. Taste is also peppery and really yeasty with orange, light coriander and a decent backbone. Light to medium body. Smooth carbonation. Almost fluffy mouthfeel. Dry finish. Quite simple, but with the Prairie signature. Super drinkable and quenching. A good summer beer.
