Birra is a light, sessionable farmhouse ale. It is crisp with notes of black pepper and orange and goes perfectly with food.

Pretty solid offering, straw colored pour with white head. Nose is zesty and citrus, some spice and almost a salty note. Flavor is smooth and easy, citrus and zested citrus peel. Some saison type spices, perhaps coriander and clove-ish notes. Really enjoyable.

Tan body, fluffy, frothy head. Earthy aroma, a sense of terroir, mineral, and dirt. Feint, flaring herbaceous notes; grass clumps, and shrubs. Lively body that is exquisitely earthy, with some grassy and green shrub notes. An olde worlde saison, brewed from the earth.

Small bottle at home. Pours cloudy light yellow with a white hue. Steady white head. Nose is on the yeasty side; a bit spicy/herbal as well (cardemom & mint). Light body, a tad balnd, but very smooth. Taste is sweet lemon juice, a bit pale malt, wheat flakes. Nice.

Bottle. Light hazy hay yellow liquid with small to medium white head. Aroma of white pepper, bread, grain, straw and light banana. Taste is dry, light bitter and light sour with notes of lemon, grain and white pepper. Light to medium bodied with medium to high carbonation. Quite nice.

12 ounce pour - $6.00 at Argosy in Atlanta, Georgia.

Appearance: Displays an orange-golden body, well-hazed, with a lasting, white, film-producing head.

Smell: Soft, creamy wheat edged with a bit of rustic graininess. Coriander and spice. Moderately citrusy.

Taste: An initial impression of crisped wheat, light grains and hay moistened with sugar water. A little orange rind, a bit of punchy lemon juice. Coriander and pepperesque spiciness alongside a medium-low bitterness. Finishes sufficiently dry and spicy with adequate carbonation to move things along.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Overall: Fairly decent, it’s low ABV and relatively easy drinking qualities were its best attributes.

Bouteille 335ml. No BB.

Satisfying though not spectacular farmhouse beer in the rustic style with a mostly grainy flavor and some nice light citrus tartness, hints of pepper in the midpalate. Very solid, but not going to push out Hennepin at a higher price point.

bottle at Wino’s Depot / Bowling Green KY --- Cloudy light amber with a smooth white head cover, broken sheets of lace. Taste is malt and wheat with a little sour mixed in that explodes with clean hops on the swallow, followed by a little malt re-emerging in a long cleansing finish. For sure a good food beer, but just as satisfying by itself. Recommended.

My Bottom Line:
Banana esters, herbal hops and cereals whirl about in this fizzy and rustic brew.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam tops the cloudy beige.
-The flavor profile is a tad too murky for my tastes.
-Balancing hop bitterness is quite enjoyable.
-The dryness increases drinkability.
