3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Had this on tap a while back at World of Beer. I seem to like everything I try from Prairie. This was hazy gold with a white head on top. Tangerine and apricot fruit flavors collide with funky dust notes, yeast, and a vibrant crisp, dry finish. Very drinkable and refreshing.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Keg (Black Door, Helsinki)
Chevrette aroma, dusty, dirty, sweet apricot, some white wine/grape, a little mouldy, some sickliness. Taste more grapey and winey, simple malts. Rough dirty palate, want to scrape my tongue. Finish has some pleasant barley, thatís the best phase, but itís too late to fix it.

on tap at the taphouse in copenhagen. hazed yellow with a thin head; aroma of bubble gum, stables, plenty of saison yeast character; lightly citric, cough drops, quite synthetic; curious and pretty good

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at Lord Hobo, 9/27/15.
Very bright crayon/pencil yellow body shows a light haziness and a small, but fairly dense white head that sits at cover with plentiful carbonation apparent.
Hay, grass, lilacs and plentiful bread dough in the nose gains a touch of honeysuckle-like maltiness (mixing with the floral notes). Peppery phenols build on the finish, with minerals and more grass and hay. Esters, at least, are pretty tame, though there is a touch of peach and banana (but itís very light). No alcohol and no flaws.
Sweet, sugar cookie-like malt notes up front make room for lilacs, black pepper and moderate fruitiness (starfruit, nectarine, peach). Some unwanted acidity, in concert with a rather heavy breadiness for its size shows up and kind of jumbles things, but it regains some crispness on the end with snappy spicey/herbal hop notes and a fairly tight carbonation. My first Prairie beer and itís admittedly a bit underwhelming though perfectly serviceable. Itís like a blend of a bad, messy, pseudo-Belgian, American "farmhouse" beer and a really nice Belgian saison. If they could just remove the character of the former....

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Murky in both color in glass and malt tone. Digging the dryness at finish. Redeeming. Bottle. Digging the label. I lime more funk in a farmhouse. The citidots think its just a structure where the likes of Warren Zevon say ther aint much to country livin... but thef armhouse ale offersso much more than stableshavings. Dany...eat your heart outonthis one pal.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Medium offwhite head. Clear yellow body with carbonation and little
particles. Spicy herbal oily aroma with cumin and pepper notes.
Dryish peppery oily herbal taste with chamomile and wood notes.
Mid-bodied. Mild, oily mouthfeel. Dry peppery chamomile and herbs
aftertaste with spicy notes. Very nice. Fresh, drinkable, and full
of character. Actually, tastes a bit like Achillea millefolium.

Bottle. Frothy head, cloudy honey coloured beer, spritzy. Wheaty, earthy, farmhouse aroma, with some spiced fruitiness. Good malt base, a hint of Westmalle, creamy and a bit íwití. Really good.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. I can get behind 12oz sessionable saisons, and even though $3.50+tax isnít cheap, it ainít exactly expensive either. Cloudy copper pour, small white head. Spicy and bready; Belgian esters mixed with musty gym socks; peppery lightly bitter finish. Light body, average carbonation. Overall: solid, and much better than most of the sweet American saisons that come in 12 oz bottles.
