COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Birra is a light, sessionable farmhouse ale. It is crisp with notes of black pepper and orange and goes perfectly with food.

Funky aroma. The taste is a little funky but also citrusy. Refreshing. Dry and bitter finish.

This farmhouse ale poured a huge frothy white head on a light golden ale. Biscuity base with an Earthy herbal spiced yeast flavor. I like a sweeter spice to Saisons personally. Easy drinking session saison.

12oz bottle, generously catered&traded to my saison/grisette needs by idiosynkrasie, howdie partner! Beautiful faux-naiv label, "distributed by our friends at Shelton Brothers". - A whispy, hayish pour with very gentle doses of white pepper and lemon peel brine, some cereal proteins. Brett is not of the rougher organic farmyard, nor of the graceless artificial kind, somewhere mildly in between and well-incorporated. Extremely easy drinking, with white citrus rind striving to take the upper hand, not resisting instant sessionability: an American interpretation of the style through and through in this respect, but a successful one. Dry bitter lemon palate, some eggwhite. Rightfully tagged with grisette: summery, refreshing saison light.

Beer pour clear straw color with a lively retained egg white head. Aromas of hay, dough, and earth compete for the attention of the olfactory nerves. Taste is moderately bitter. The palate is very refreshing. This is a great beer, I am rapidly becoming a big Prairie Ales fan.

Bottle. Gold with a large white head. Aroma of sweet and sour oranges, pepper, a little apricot. Hay and some stone fruit sweetness, a bare touch of dough. Fair bit orange with mingles with a lick of sourness. Dry, moderately spicy and bitter finish. Better drunk without the sediment. Good.

Light retention and minimal lacing. Smells of yeast, herbal and cloves. Tastes of pepper, yeast and spices. Yeasty aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

[Bottle] Pours pale golden with a decent white head. Aroma is yeast and a little citrus. Taste is heavier on citrus, and solid malt backbone towards the end without getting distracting. I can see the pepper that is listed in the description, but it is pretty subtle. Lingering bitterness. Appropriate mouthfeel; smooth with a long finish. Overall, I tried the first one, and I was a little disappointed. However, by the end of the four pack, I quite enjoyed the beer. A nice summer drink. Also, for Prairie, it is pretty reasonably priced, although I would really like to see it at least a dollar cheaper per four pack.

Rated from notes taken on 29 Apr 2014 -- This is a great Saison, I think the Prairie Standard is just a nose better than this brew. Pours a cloudy effervescent yellow. Refreshing with a hint of saison funk. Very nice.

Bottle from a trade. Pours into a intensely fogged yellow color. With a foamy white thick head that stays forever. The nose has a strong tart lemon note with a funky grassy background. The flavor isn’t quite what I was expecting going from the aroma. A bubbly carbonation right upfront. No lemon. A strange underlying on the whole thing that is very off putting. Most flavors are a candy bubblegum. I did not like this one.
