Poured from a bottle it is a dark brown color with a slight head. The aroma is bourbon with mocha. The taste is amazing. Smooth and delicious with hints of bitter chocolate with latte overtones that linger on the palate

From a 12 oz bottle shared at home. Pours black with a thick tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate and tobacco. Flavors of dark fruits and smoky roasted ancho chilis. Oh my!

@ Mikkeller Stockholm 14-9-20: riktig stor doft av bitter choklad. Smaken är len fyllig och full av choklad. Torr kaffe och chili(?) i eftersmaken. Mycket gott. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone ---- Soberness not garanteed!

Iíve had several different colors of the wax dips, I donít notice differences between them myself. Maybe itís too subtle unless you try them side by side. Anyway, not my favorite style of beer, but that said itís a decent beer regardless.

"Mail delivery via the OK beer mafia (Hannah). Damn! That should be my whole review, but allow me to elaborate. This coffee impy stout can stand up to the very best of them, and that says a LOT coming from me as this is my favorite style and sub-style of beer. When I saw 14% on the bottle, this beer blew my mind (again). Upon first whiff and sip, I figured 9 or 10%. 14% with NO heat?! Are you freakin kidding me? Smooth as all hell...love the use of coffee and vanilla in this brew. They are the main players. with the cocoa and especially the chili just along for the ride. What an aromatic, beautiful delicious brew. By FAR the best in a very good tasting, my favorite Prairie beer, and one of the best beers period Iíve had in a long while.

12 oz. bottle from my secret santa. Thanks man! Pours a dark oily black with a small tan head. The head fades quickly into a ring around the glass. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, dark roasted malt notes. A twinge of chili peppers. Flavor is rich, decadent. Dark roasted chocolate bitterness with mild heat from the peppers. Full bodied. Finishes with a bit more heat. This is pretty nice.

No date for this one for some reason. Originally shared by Brent at a little tasting and pizza party at his place after his first son was born. My favorite memory is the next time I had a sip of this juice at their going away party before moving to Colorado. His wife was lovingly slamming this 14% bad boy straight from the bottle during the party like a Bud Light, wax and all. When someone would ask for a taste, she would lick all over the opening of the bottle and then hold it out and say, "Go ahead!" Anyway, these notes are from the first tasting. Black pour with a nice brown head that sticks surprisingly well and laces moderately. Nice aroma - really digging this combination. Coffee from coffee itself, but also from nice roasted malts, plenty of chocolate, again from additions and malts, with just a kiss of pepper and vanilla to round it out nicely. Thereís a surprising pepper pop in the flavor, more than I was expecting, again with just a kiss of vanilla. The chocolate and coffee shine through much more and Iím really digging this altogether. Really good stuff!

Tap at CBC 2014. Beer in the glass deep black, small head. Heavy malty aroma, earthy-woody. Starts intense malty, notes of coffee and cacao, some chocolate. More and more earthy. Oily malty finish. Well done.
