3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, black opaque beer, brown sugar colored head fades to a ring. Aroma is coffee, cocoa, raisin, faint metal, vanilla, chilis. Taste is vanilla, coffee, cocoa, bourbony booze, chilis, faint metal. Palate is rich, not syrupy or thick, carbonation good, a touch sharp. This is a bit sweet. I also wonder at the ratings...itís good, but not that good. Pretty boozy, too sweet.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a pitch black color, topped with a fairly small but lasting dark beige colored head. Very noticeable coffee aroma, some roasty notes and chocolate later on, and some mild vanilla scent some time later. Taste starts with some dark fruity sweetness, followed by strong coffee bitterness and some chocolate presence. Finish again coffee. Complex, with slight feel of alcohol. Creamy and thick. A bit too coffee-liek for me, but still very tasty.

4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
The pour is this beautiful black with a very thin tan head. The aroma is coffee but I?m not getting much of it, little stuffed up so that could be the reason. The taste is malty, caramel up front & then ends with this pleasant fruity, like a fig, chocolaty, coffee taste. Amazing beer that is really balanced. Would recommend!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Black pour with brown head. Aromas of chili peppers, vanilla, burnt malts, brown sugar. Full bodied, creamy, alcohol well integrated. The peppers provide a nice lingering heat without being over the top. Some sweetness and big roast. Tasty.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
12 oz pour from room temperature bottle in Spiegelau stout glass. Black and opaque. Strong, tan, lasting head. Beautiful beer. Nose is roasty-- chocolate and coffee. Perfectly creamy mouthfeel with minimal carbonation. The oatmeal is a great touch. Taste is simple awesome. Flavors really develop. Chocolate to coffee, roastiness and a little burnt underneath. Well balanced maltiness and sweetness. Little bitterness. Ends with a bit of little chili bite. Warming with some lingering alcohol as well. Surprisingly hidden, considering the abv. Great beer.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tallahassee, Fl - Quick N Save - 12 oz bottle. Pours a thick black motor oil-like pour, tight, mocha colored head that hangs around a while, very light lacing. Aroma has a nice presence of cacao nibs, a touch of Kahlua, hints of licorice. Flavor is bold and delectable, sweet espresso notes, some roasted notes, a touch of fennel seed. Thick, sticky mouthfeel. Thanks to Aaron at Quick N Save for the tip on this excellent beer!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle. Pours black with moderate tan head. Aromas of fresh black coffee, dark cocoa powder and dry roasted malts. Flavors of black coffee, dry dark chocolate, a little grass, and more heavily roasted malt. No sign of alcohol or chili heat. No sweetness. Dry and lighter body due to the ABV? Very good but a tad over-rated.

Prairie Artisan Ales Bomb! 13%
I heard good things about me his beer through the grapevine and am pleased to finally get my hands on it. Big thanks to Craft Cafe Imazato & Ezo Beer for the hook up. A pitch black with a rusty beige head. The nose is sweet milky chocolate with a huge roasty chocolate ground nose. A very full body massage with roasty coffee, vanilla and chocolate. This is a fantastic beer.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Well then... this is pretty fine liquid. Not 14$ fine but fine anyway. Wonderfully sensually smooth dark chocolate.... soo much chocolate now that this has been sitting in my glass for 2hrs. Amaretto, something gently sweet and something else in the aroma. There was different stuff here earlier but I was too busy doing nothing of importance to note them. Totally smell dem peppers and the coffee has appeared again. Stellar flavour - absolutely nothing in my face - pretty much as mellow as it can get at this level. Bitterness from the deep chocolate which is not as soothing as it was in the aroma. Itís mixed up with the coffee - a coffee that totally takes over and lasts an eon in the permanent aftertaste. Also - unlike the aroma - that quality is big and dominating. The vanilla is muted as is the peppers at this point. They were much more prominent earlier on. Easier to find at the beginning of each sip... sips that are coming fast now.. every couple of seconds between typing. Itís amazing how the flavour gets stomped on by other characteristics that once were silent. I think itís the fast sips abusing my taste buds. After a long recovery the vanilla appears then gets a swift kick to the choda by the peppers. The peppers then get stabbed in the back by the hard roast of bitterness and coffee; falling to the ground and getting curb stomped by rowdy gangs of mailboxes. The chocolate bailed on this whole fucking situation like the pussy he is.
