I’m not a huge fan of chili flavored beers but this one is pretty good. You get more of the pepper skin instead of the heat. You also get the coffee and other elements mentioned in the description as well.

red wax, light beige ring, black in the centre, light brown on the edges, appears to leave slightly oily residue when swirled, served in a snifter, aroma is Hennessy cognac in the background, cigarette ash, dark chocolate pallette is scorched roast, as in those chocolate bars with crunchy cocoa nibs. mouthfeel is pleasant, sifty, creamy, a bit of heat on the finish is a nice added kick

Bottle. Wood smoke/ash, milk, dark chocolate, and coffee malt aroma. Dark brown-black with small brown head. Sweet dark chocolate, coffee ground malt flavor, and bitter-astringent herb and ash flavor. Mild chili burn in the finish. Very tasty.

Pours a beautiful dark amber brown. Cocoa comes across from the first bit of aroma. Smooth drinking with a fantastic hint of pepper at the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours black. Almost brown head. Huge coffee nose and coffee aftertaste. Some lacing. One of my favorite stouts!

Nocturne (912) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - DEC 25, 2014
355ml bottle. Black with a finger of brown head. Nose is all chili at first, then coffee breaks through. Powerful and a bit chaotic so far. Hints of praline and molasses. All it seems to be missing is the vanilla. Taste is a better experience, with the elements working in much greater harmony. No real "heat" from either chili or alcohol, but definitely some lingering warmth. Nice feel to it and not too sweet. Pretty good!
