4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20
Bottle thanks to soonerchamps. Suggested to me not as a WL beer but I was intrigued. Stout bottle with gold wax. Pours near black with no head. Angelic aroma of coffee and vanilla, it almost smells like peanut butter. I could smell this all day! Slightly bitter but mostly sweet stout taste with a bit if a hot spicy kick in the end. My goodness this is amazing. Very similar to Voodoo Grande Negro Papi. Maybe better.

Bottle at James E. McNellies Public House in Tulsa. Pours almost black with a small tan head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, vanilla, and a bit of chilis. Taste is coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, and some chilis. Very, very tasty.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(12oz bottle) near black pour, clear espresso edges, medium dark tan head. Nose of vanilla, rich milk chocolate, cream, chili pepper is very subdued but perhaps barely there. Taste has some spiciness, adobo/chipotle, big vanilla, bittersweet chocolate, very roasty and a little bitter. Medium creamy body, bittersweet chocolate finish. Pretty rich, nice balance with the peppers and chocolate.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
From the bottle: It pours thick, extremely dark brown, almost black. No real head to speak of, just a few orange tinted bubbles. Smells like mocha, vanilla, caramel, maybe just a touch of dark fruit like cherry, and some spicy notes. Wish it wasn’t allergy season because I can bet this thing really opens up in a bit. It’s thick and rich, ridiculously drinkable given the bold flavors and full palate. Tastes of rich chocolate and caramel with rather mild chili burn in the finish. I could easily gulp this imperial. They’ve done a great job of blending all these flavors while creating a beer that doesn’t seem too big for the bottle. Soft carbonation. Really wouldn’t have guessed that the abv is a crazy 14%. Okie proud.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Luscious chocolate, coffee, and vanilla blast from the glass. Mild chiles supplement the other flavors. Nose is expansive and decadent. Far better than the other Prairie beers I've had to date. Wow.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
12oz, gold waxed bottle, via trade. glad i was able to pick up a few of these. pours a dense, slightly oily mocha color that sits black in the glass capped by a rich, rusty colored head that leaves sticky rings of lace. aroma is simply outstanding with huge notes of milk chocolate, brownie batter, malted milk balls, mocha frappacino, and vanilla cream backed by light roast, brown sugar, and a hint of earthy peppers. flavor is absolutely wonderful as well with all sorts of chocolate ranging from bitter baker’s, to cacao, to milk with sweet vanilla beans, roasted espresso beans, earth, and a touch of maple backed by beautifully subtle smokey, pepper heat. palate is full bodied, not quite as rich as the gold standard that is Hunahpu’s, but creamy, smooth, and nicely spiced. overall, a truly excellent beer. well done.

Smell of chocolate, sweet coffee flavor with a delightful burn of chili peppers. Alcohol well hidden, amazing in that it claims a 14% abv. Rich delicious beer.

Truly an amazing Imperial Stout. Great chocolate aftertaste, coffee upfront. The finish has some vanilla and slightly pepper spice. Enjoyed in a snifter served at cellar temp 55. This is a beer you must try at least once. My first time I had it was at Tulsa, OK inaugural Craft Beer Week held at The Biergarten in Jenks. Amazing event and awesome beers. This was my favorite beer I tried at that tasting. Highly recommend!!

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
The only thing this beer could use is more pepper. Aroma, taste and mouthfeel are great. Tastes like a 5% beer, even without a lot of chili its still a great beer!

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Aroma - Lots of coffee and chocolate. Two things that I like very much.
Appearance - Pours very dark with a thin brown head that dissipates.
Taste - Coffee, vanilla, and chocolate up front with a nice hint of the peppers on the back end. Just subtle enough.
Hides the alcohol very well and is drinkable and pretty dangerous at 14%. Very well done beer overall.
