Dark, oily brown with a light brown/red blossoming head. Chocolate and chilis on the nose. Feels thick and creamy, intense chocolate and coffee flavors. A subtle but present burn from a mix of chili and alcohol. Exquisite beer!

Woody nose.thin initial mouth feel with strong chocolate coca nibs add odd flavors but the heat at the end is well done. Good if a little odd but I like it.

Bottle at Lincoln Wine Bar. Dense black pour, brown head. Deep malty and chocolate nose. Lots of mixed flavors: chocolate, espresso, vanilla with an almost dusty finish. Beautiful.

Pours clear ruby brown with one fat finger of dense tan head, good retention and minimal lacing. (4/5) Nose is cocoa nibs, dark coffee, vanilla, dark fruit, mild chili peppers. (9/10) Taste is moderate sweet, mild bitter. (9/10) Full body, moderate to low carbonation, mildly boozy finish. (4/5) Very well-behaved, mild and rich, with just a mild chili heat blending nicely with the boozy warming. Deep and rich chocolate dominates, with coffee and vanilla supporting. Bitterness is very mild and never comes to the forefront, but nor does the sweetness ever become cloying, and the body, while full, is never heavy. A truly excellent imperial stout. (17/20)

Tap at Republic...The best batch of Bomb I’ve had...Nose is milk chocolate, nice balanced coffee, wile some vanilla coming in smooth, Peppers were very light...Taste is very balanced unlike mose batches I’ve had. Its seems like they have really got their amount of adjuncts figured out..Taste is nice soft creamy chocolate, coffee, spices, cream, alcohol is hidden with all the flavors coming in.

Had it from a bottle and from a tap on 4-12-2015. From the bottle: It pours a heavy black with a 1/4" tan head. The lacing was excellent. Aromatics included chocolate, vanilla, hazelnuts and coffee beans. Flavors include all that were on the nose with a nice medium-plus viscosity. The chili peppers add just the slightest prickle on the tongue. There's a light bitterness toward the finish, but overall a great stout that never feels to be 13%. On tap: Almost identical, but it had a softer/smoother palate. The trade off was that on tap it seemed to have a bit more bitterness and was drying just a tad on the finish (which I didn't notice from the bottle). ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours pitch black with a brown fluffy head. Aromas of lots of chocolate, licorice, coffee, vanilla, black pepper, dry woody notes, roast, chili fruits, cocoa, dark dried fruits, licorice. Taste has more roast, coffee, black pepper, spices, chili fruitiness, dark chocolate, vanilla, licorice, savory notes, lots of heat in the finish.

This beer is unique. Cocoa and chili peppers in this brew especially if you allow it to warm. Enjoy.

Sweet chocolate pepper aroma. Very sweet. Lots of chocolate and vanilla flavor with a mild peppery bite. Up there with the best.
