A dry hopped sour ale. Funky Gold Mosaic is a dry-hopped sour ale. We took Prairie Gold and dry-hopped it with a huge amount of Mosaic hops. The end results are tropical, sour, and an all around new beer drinking experience! This beer is great fresh, but will continue to develop as the wild yeast continues to work in the beer.

The beer pours a darkened yellow. Itís quiet cloudy. Nice white head. It seemed a bit fizzy at first but is holding up well. The aroma is big on tropical fruit hoppiness. The underlying sour character is lactic and definitely present but milder than expected. Some funk but it lacks much in the way of depth. Lots of sweet pineapple with a little bit of lemon and floral hops. The taste is moderately sour and bitter. Itís nice enough but some of the nice hoppiness gets lost. Fairly high carbonation. Medium body. Interesting beer. The hops come through pretty strong andt add a nice, sweet fruitiness. The funk is underwhelming, but maybe, I just expected more because of the name. Enjoyable.

Countbeer (4909) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - FEB 15, 2015
Beautiful hazy yellow colored beer pours from a 50cl bottle a medium sized white head. Well whn itís poured at 13 degrees Celsius in a Chouffe glass. Aroma already letís you know this is a fresh hoppy fruity beer but itís a sour ale and thus deliciously balanced. Both in nose and mouth damn tasty tones of fresh hoppy fruits and some flowers combined with a light woody and light (wild) yeasty undertone. Add some tart and light bitterness with a herbal edge and some dryness and you got the aftertaste. Crispy with good carbonation and mouthfeel. Even more perfect summer stuff!

Pours straw and mildly hazed with a solid quilt of bone whites. Smells of dank, mango, straw, tart, grapefruit sweets. Flavor is nice and dry, lots of chalky yeast - dat brett character - mango, sweet hops. Dry, dry dry. Thin with moderately hi carb. Nice, sweet.

Bottle split at the Cotteridge Convention, big thanks to Sheet Shorne, 24/01/15. Very lightly hazed pale golden with a decent off white head. Nose is tarte peach, tangy apricot, funky tunes, damp straw, soured mango. Taste comprises tangerine, earthy hop presence, light spice trail, pineapple chunks on the turn, light funk. Solid gear, hoppy pangs eat away at the sour edge, not for the sour purist by any means but a good hoppy meets funk crossover.

Bottle at the Cotteridge Convention thanks to s_hartshorne. It pours clear pale gold with a thick white head. The nose is fresh, fruity, lemon, grapefruit, lemony sherbet, Granny Smith Apple and some pickled onion. The taste is crisp, tart, juicy, lemon sherbet, soap minerals and grapefruit with a refreshingly dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Fresh, crisp and very drinkable. Whatís not to like?

Bottled. Pours hazy golden with an average, lacing white head. Aroma of brett, funk, mango, citrus, lime, pine and notes of blueberry. Slightly sweet flavor that ends up dry, quite tart and bitter. Medium bodied, watery to oily texture and soft carbonation. A very nice and hoppy Sour

Bottle share at Cotteridge Wines. Hazy yellow, still, small white head. Aroma is lemon, bubblegum, minty. Body is medium, foamy, high carbonation. Taste is lemon, sour, some minerality and hop bitterness but mostly just lemon. Not my type of thing.

Bottle at home from cotteridge
hazy mid blonde with pillowy offwhite head and lively fizzing carbonation. Slightly citric, passion fruit, bright acidity. Belgian yeast esters. Lively carbonation, lightly tart, fruity, blueberry, lemon, light body. Fruity sharp and easy drinking. Mango rind, slightly sweaty notes, leeks. Fruity citric, long finish. Great stuff.
