A dry hopped sour ale. Funky Gold Mosaic is a dry-hopped sour ale. We took Prairie Gold and dry-hopped it with a huge amount of Mosaic hops. The end results are tropical, sour, and an all around new beer drinking experience! This beer is great fresh, but will continue to develop as the wild yeast continues to work in the beer.

Bottle to glass. Pours a hazy yellow with white head. Aroma is hoppy, pine, funky, citrus, grass. Taste is hoppy with pine notes and a solid bitterness, pairs well with a tart salinity. Hints of yeast and pepper. Very enjoyable! Palate is light body, medium heavy carbonation. Very good on a hot summer day! Nom nom nom.

500 ml bottle. (The Greenville Beer Exchange) Greenville, SC.
Hazy golden colour with a big foamy white head. The aroma is amazing... funky, sweaty, NZ and fruity hops, sourness, mild bitterness, white wine and malt. So yummy! Awesome! The flavour is NZ hops, mild bitterness, tartness, sourness, fruitiness and dryness. Super tasty till the last drop of it. Glad I bought this even the bottle was quite expensive... One of my favourite US brewers.

bottle @ Wino’s Depot / Bowling Green KY --- Cloudy golden amber with a solid 1/2" white head, bands of lace. Aroma of wheat and freshly cut grass. Taste is tart, sour malt right from the onset that completely cleanses the palate on the way through to a sour finish that lingers nicely.

GABF 2014. Hazy yellow color with a medium head. Musty aroma with a lot of pot. Screaming dank flavor. Light lemon notes with plenty of barny funk.

Hazy light gold with a persistent and generous foamy white head. Big and interesting nose of dry hopped leafy tones, pine, grapefruit rind and earthy resins with a sour tone and light tree fruits. Lovely full flavor of dry hopped leafy fresh tones with a touch of lemon and grapefruit rind, earthy bitterness, a little blonde biscuit and a good punchy sour wild twang. Very tasty and hoppy and perfectly sour.

A light clear golden with a finger of white head. Smells of barnyard funk, perm, tropical fruit. Taste is a bubbly hoppy funky tropical sour. Sour is rather tame and the hops balance it. Interesting flavors, a good hopped up sour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, in trade from b3shine-- thanks Beau! Very hazy light yellow with a lively white head. Boldly funky and fruity nose. This brew is big on funk! Lots of barnyard, wet horse, old musty straw, leading into guava, grapefruit, pineapple. The malts are pale and very well attenuated. Finish is tart and dry, with a moderate amount of bitterness. Definitely more wild/funky than sour, superbly crafted, sooooo drinkable! Loved it.

Draft on tap at Hops & Pie (Denver, CO). Pours a pale yellow hue, a bit dulled but a rich glowing hue with that firm haziness, frothy whitish head atop is larger, rich and sticks around well as it dies from a large cakey layer. Aromas are fruity and hoppy, a nice tropical fruit hopping meets funk and a bit of tartness, rich pineapple, mellow funk and dryness. Touches of mango, gentle papaya and gentle citrus jabs meet dry and funky cobwebs, horseblanket and fresh cut straw. A bit of guava grows, nice. Initial is lighter end of the fold, firmly funky and bitter off the bat, some cobwebs, dust and dry bitter yeasty funk. Some firm hopping is floral, a bit citric. Firmer pineapple, juicy and tart into the middle with more wafts of tropical fruit, bitter hops meet fruity Mosaic, some nice bitterness, firm funk as we press on. Tasty stuff. The gentle sourness and firmer funk really meld well with the bitter but rich fruity appeal of the hop choice. A bit juicy yet firmly dry, funky and bitter at times by nature. Tart, fruity backend, sour jabs as we finish with lingering bitter hop and funk depth. Really masterfully crafted with great flow.

500 ml bottle thanks to John, much thanks Jcwattsrugger! Aroma is a nice tart lemon, and a nice level citrus and very mild funk, subtle.

The flavor is subtle Brett that is overpowered my citrus and grassy hops. Light floral hints. Body is medium with a light lingering bitter finish. Dry texture. Jeez, the more I drink this the more I like it. Very nice.
