A dry hopped sour ale. Funky Gold Mosaic is a dry-hopped sour ale. We took Prairie Gold and dry-hopped it with a huge amount of Mosaic hops. The end results are tropical, sour, and an all around new beer drinking experience! This beer is great fresh, but will continue to develop as the wild yeast continues to work in the beer.

Bottle to glass. Pours a hazy yellow with white head. Aroma is hoppy, pine, funky, citrus, grass. Taste is hoppy with pine notes and a solid bitterness, pairs well with a tart salinity. Hints of yeast and pepper. Very enjoyable! Palate is light body, medium heavy carbonation. Very good on a hot summer day! Nom nom nom.

50cl, new exclusive American brew Anno 2014, from Geers Oostakker, complex sour brew, floral/fruity and slightly sour/woody/bitter, balanced, cloudy, rocky head, good brew, yet very expensive!

Poured a bright lemon rind yellow with some haze and one finger of white head. Wonderful aroma of bright fruit skins with a touch of garlic and tropical fruit. Tart flavor with bright fruit and lychee and a touch of garlic and light bodied/tart mouthfeel.

Sampled at GABF 2014 and a second bottle with Pat. Pours a hazy golden body with nice white lacing. Aroma is bright funk, light mineral, wet basement and sour fruit. Mouthfeel is much more restricted in comparison the the Coolship Truck (sampled back-to-back at GABF) with a nice fresh vegetale/vine character. Additional tropical notes. A very nice sour ale.

Bottle. Pours a very pretty hazy pale gold with one finger of thick head that subsides. Aroma is lemon peel, durian, and jackfruit with some mango, peppermint, and lots of fruity, sweaty, slightly stinky wild yeast. Definitely an odor that some might consider icky, but mingled with the fruit it lends a quality of overripe depth. Taste is very dry and Champagne-like with light mango and apricot and plenty of white wine fading into a big oaky finish. Hard to tell if that’s hop bitterness or tannins on the end – probably some of both. A beer of intriguing complexity and depth, and one that I like very much, but the big funkiness and lack of balance are a bit too extreme for me to love it.

This poured a hazy golden color with a white head. Aroma is or barnyard Brett funk, and juicy tropical hops. Flavor similar, very bright and fruity, lots of funk and Brett and light lactic acid. Another awesome beer from prairie.

500 ml bottle. (The Greenville Beer Exchange) Greenville, SC.
Hazy golden colour with a big foamy white head. The aroma is amazing... funky, sweaty, NZ and fruity hops, sourness, mild bitterness, white wine and malt. So yummy! Awesome! The flavour is NZ hops, mild bitterness, tartness, sourness, fruitiness and dryness. Super tasty till the last drop of it. Glad I bought this even the bottle was quite expensive... One of my favourite US brewers.
