Huge white head. Hazy gray toned gold pour. Little bit of lacing. Sulphury funky lemon nose. Tart lemon taste. Some peppery notes. And the egg bomb from the scent.

The beer pours a slightly hazy golden with a large, long-lasting white head; once the yeast finds its way into the glass, it becomes murky with white highlights. The aroma is heavily grassy but also has strong currents of apricot, funk, pilsner malt, and white pepper. The taste has a lot of grassy (almost piney) hop flavor with only a slight kiss of bitterness on the front of the tongue, and a mild softness and slight sweetness--via yeasty funk and fruity esters of apricot and orange--round out the taste to place everything in balance. Even though there is a lot to the flavor, the lively carbonation lifts those flavors off the tongue, producing an earthy and slightly spicy aftertaste. The medium body supports all these elements well, and the slick texture makes this beer as easy drinking as it is.

Bottle to glass. Pours a hazy golden yellow light orange color with a foamy off white head. Aroma is a lovely tart citrus, nelson hops, slight funk. Flavor is not really tart at all, but has a nice farmhouse funk. Spot on saison from Prairie, as always.

Bottle poured into pint glass. Smells like a stanky hef. Hints of cloves and bananas with sour at the end ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: FEB 27, 2015 500ml bottle courtesy of my roomate. Hazed gold pour, tropical notes, sauvin character in the flavor, wine and tropical brett with out the barrel notes.

Older bottle - 750ml C&C. Pours hazy golden, medium white head that has good staying power and nice lacing. Aroma is surprisingly Nelson-esque, lots of tropical citrus, passionfruit. Strong dusty basement funk notes as well, mushroom. Flavor is dry, quite funky, mushrooms and damp basement. Lighish body, high carbonation. This one has funked up a ton, but unfortunately in a way that I am not really high on. Still interesting but I need to try a fresher, and presumably less mushroomy, bottle.

From a bottle into a snifter. Large white frothy head that lingers for a while, completely opaque flat yellow straw color. Nose is lemon, grapefruit, some wine character, barnyard. Medium bodied, medium carbonation moderately funky with a touch of sweetness, tartness and sourness as is warms. A supremely balanced beer, incredibly refreshing. Lingering finish of the nelson sauvin hops lemon. Very enjoyable.

Bottle... Pours cloudy and yellow with no head. The aroma is crackery and bready with a lightly-acidic vinous note. Full-bodied with gentle carbonation. The flavor is sweet and bready with a hint of white wine and a whisper of lemon zest. Yeasty bitterness in the finish. Bottle courtesy of biggsbowler!
