22 ounce bottle from Bottles and Cans in Northcenter, Chicago. Although I was initially skeptical, Iím starting to appreciate the benefits of having the distribution goliath that is Wirtz entering the craft beer beer market with some new labels in Chicagoland. Prairieís íMerica is tart, dry, funky, and potently aromatic with a white wine-like nose. It has a tinted yellow appearance, sizzling foam that dissipates quickly after the pour, and a foggy hue. The nose is pears, white grapes, and farmhouse funk. The taste is big, loaded with the same elements found in the aroma, plus a sharp, puckering tart aspect. The palate crackles with all those vicious flavors, although it sits on the light side of medium bodied. If you donít like your beer funky and ripe, you may want to pass on this one. Farmhouse fans will enjoy it though in all itís mouth bombing glory. As far as a saison goes, this is about as bold as anything Iíve ever had in the style.

Pours a hazy golden yellow with a white head. Funky barnyard notes that intensified as I drank the bottle. Lots of sediment at the end of the bottle. Yeast, hay, melon and pineapple. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750 ml bottle. Pours a hazed bright orange with a big thick white head. A bright hop aroma fills the room. Aroma of basement funk, cheese, dust and cobwebs. Some spice intertwined with grassy hops. Flavor is funky. One of the funkiest beers Iíve ever tasted. Strong agressive hop presence coupled with this wild funky yeast. Some bread and and grass notes as well. Medium bodied. This is a special beer.

Wow... Pours a cloudy golden color with a fluffy finger of foam. The nose opens with some nice background malt, grassy melon and some rustic yeast notes. The palate continues with this great combination... perfectly balanced yet highly complex. Great integration of hops and farmhouse yeast... probably the best american farmhouse beer Ive ever had ! This shit makes me go Yee- Haw ! Keep up the great work guys.

750 ml. bottle from Star Grocery. It pours a very clear yellow color with a large fizzy white head that shrinks rather quickly. The aroma is intense and interesting with a complex blend of spicy/cattiness, white grape, grass, garlic and some background pineapple. The flavor is similarly explosive with a very dry, spicy yeast character. Lots of onion/garlic peppery notes with some white wine, pear and pineapple on the back end. Very strong bitterness and spicy yeast finish. An aggressive beer and powerful drinking experience.

750 c&c from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dishwater gold with a 4 finger creamy/foamy head. Aroma is funky citrus/tropical fruit mix. Med body, almost. Flavor is pretty funky with mixed fruit. Itís dropping to earthy in the finish. A very nice ale. Makes me proud to be a Merican.

Bottle. Pours a hazy copperish color with an extremely thick white head. Nose has some sourness and citrus with a nice bit of funk to it. Taste is quite sour with that funky bite to it. Nice and crisp and easy.
