‘Merica is a single malt, single hop farmhouse ale. It’s brewed with floor malted pilsner and 3lbs per bbl Nelson Sauvin hops. The beer is conditioned with 2 brett strains and wine yeast. The Nelson hops provide white wine flavors while Brettanomyces add a juicy quality to the beer.

From 9/29 notes. Shared with John for Breaking Bad finale tasting, beer #5. 500ml bottle pours bright hazy yellow with big 2 finger pillowy head. Nose is big grassy pine, leaves. Mouthfeel is smooth and full with medium carbonation. Taste is a pine forest explosion, big grassy notes, forest floor, mossy, herbal. Finish is more bitter grassy hops with a touch of warmth. Awesome.

Bottle. Aroma is sour citrus and goat cheese, foggy yellow color. Strong citrus that dominates the experience and not very complex or balanced hop notes. Kinda underwhelming and just seems like an okay IPA. For a farmhouse ale it’s mediocre.

Has a sour milky aroma and a foggy appearance. The palate is on the thinner side with a few tiny bubbles. Not as sour in the front end as expected but the finish has a hint of lemon. The dairy funk is a little too much to make this one work for me. Would go great with a cheese to help me get past some of the more overwhelming flavors and reveal some of the more subtle ones. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber pour at home. Smells like a dumpster, but tastes like pure vagina! I’m honestly hard!

Pour out of 500 mL bottle, hazy orange-yellow pour, big white head. Aroma brought notes of big sour fruits, hints of pineapple, touch of oak, mango, slight passion fruit, nice biscuit and bread. Tate is a mix of big passion fruit, guava, hints of oak, lemon, slight biscuit, pineapple, finishing bitter, dry, nicely oaky.

Bottle shared with William, Pours super unfiltered golden orange haze, with small to medium head. Great full lacing that lasted forever, aroma and flavor of mineral, brett, peach, earth, lemons, skunk, NZ cheese, and pineapple. So complex and rustic. Gordon would approve of this saison.

750 ml corked and caged bottle purchased at the Louisville Beer Store in Louisville, Kentucky. The cork slowly pushed itself out after the cage was removed. The pour is is a hazed yellow almost greenish with tons of carbonation bubbles rising to the surface. The aroma is really bright fresh lemon citrus along with Brett notes of damp blanket and a really pleasant dry funk. The taste is the nose with equal parts lemon citrus and the funk of the Brett, which really dries out to the earthiness. The Brett carries the finish. The palate is medium to light bodied, with crisp carbonation and the bone dry Brett finish. Super easy drinking, stellar stuff. I’m a sucker for well made Brett Saisons.
