‘Merica is a single malt, single hop farmhouse ale. It’s brewed with floor malted pilsner and 3lbs per bbl Nelson Sauvin hops. The beer is conditioned with 2 brett strains and wine yeast. The Nelson hops provide white wine flavors while Brettanomyces add a juicy quality to the beer.

Draft at Churchkey in April and most recently from a bottle. Pours a hazy yellow gold color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have floral, herbal and earthy hops, grassy, light citrus, a strange funk, hay, does this have Brett? I liked this fresh on draft better than the most recent bottle sample.

From a 500ml (Honestly I wish it was a 750ml cause this is good) poured into the Bottleworks Teku S: Spicy and fruity, some lime, lots of mango and pineapples, maybe som peaches and just a hint of pepper but overall its just fruity. P Nice big white head, cloudy yellow I cannot see anything through this beer. T: Bitter mango, citrus a hint of cloves, light spices, a hint of pepper and pineapple, M: Light with big carbonation. Medium bitterness with a somewhat dry finish. O: I love these hoppy saison that Prairie has been putting out.

Bottle from Beercraft poured into Saison DuPont glass. Pours light gold with a tangerine blush and a massive whipped cream head. The familiar enticements of Nelson Sauvin hops are immediately apparent -- super tropical with green mango, clementine and pineapple -- but there are also some soft floral accents. The flavor comes down to earth a little. There are still some passionfruit and sweet citrus notes but they are short-lived as a dry pale malty finish washes through. I like the body and the dryness but would prefer a little lactic tartness to drive it all home in the end there. Still a very nice beer.

Bottle shared by Phil. Hazy golden pour with a white head. Extremely fruit forward aroma. Big time pineapple juice, guava, lemon, and peach. Nice citrus, too. Hints of grass, mild malt, and some light tartness. Really a great flavor as well. Tons of guava, pineapple, citrus, and peach. Grapefruit zest, grass, and subtle malt.

Draft on tap at West Lakeview Liquors (Chicago, IL). Prairie event.. Neate! Pours a well hazed yellow hue, a bit darker and dulled. Big cakey offwhite head stays large, sticks around and laces well. Aromas are well hopped, florals and earthy, some decent fruity hop and citrus elements come in. Gentle yeast, bready malt with some straw, fruit. Initial is gentle fruit, grapefruit and some tangerine, some melon and more grapefruit. A richer American hop presence. Florals move into bread, firm dryness up front. Bigger citrus and fruit middle from the hop elements, but dry as we taper out. Some gentle yeastiness, faint funk and terroir. Mellow bready and straw. Firmer funk, dryness and cobwebs as we finish. Richer dry bretty finish works with the American hop dryness. Pretty good, a touch off at times but the hop presence works for me.

Draft, pours hazed golden big foamy white head. Aroma has pepper, floral, funk, some sweet grain. Flavors are sweet wheat malt, some odd phenolic-medicinal note taking over, really bandaidy, dry finish. Ugh.
