‘Merica is a single malt, single hop farmhouse ale. It’s brewed with floor malted pilsner and 3lbs per bbl Nelson Sauvin hops. The beer is conditioned with 2 brett strains and wine yeast. The Nelson hops provide white wine flavors while Brettanomyces add a juicy quality to the beer.

My Bottom Line:
Pineapple and various citrus fruit ride this New World Saison’s fluffy effervescence, leading to leveled resinous bitterness.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the cloudy pale blond.
-Minty, herbal allusions are also created by the hop and yeast tandem.
-Bits of hay are found under the salient hops.
-The bottle conditioning job is excellent.

Pours a nice cloudy golden, with light white foamy head. Barnyard funk, hay, citrus, and grass on the nose. All follow onto the palate. A great example of the style.

Bottle from The Beer Mongers in Portland, OR. Big stinky funk, manure, citrus, and a touch of powdered sugar. Very light straw. Light sourish initial, and the the Brett comes on strong, delicate citrus fruit and melon rind, and levels off with a smoothness that surprises. Medium body. Slightly dry. Wonderful stuff.

Lots of horse blanket and tartness on the nose. Riding the line between saison and gueuze. Got some of the yeast so color was turkey gravy with a large pillowy white head. Flavor definitely has the saison pepper with a great funky tartness.

Bottle thanks to tony. Hazy gold with a huge, white head. Tart and horse blanket. Sweet, but lots of horse. Aftertaste is great.

Hazy yellow pour with a giant white fluffy head. Aromas of pickle juice, vinegar and wet hay. Taste is tart and funky upfront with obvious earthy notes. Very peppery and mild hop, dry finish. Interesting brew from an interesting brewery. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
