750 ml bottle. Pours opaque chestnut, medium fizzy tan head, nice residual and solid lacing. Pretty aromatic, notes of bourbon, toffee, vanilla, date, oak, a touch of cherry. Flavor is fairly sweet and light bitter, some astringence from the wood, tons of dark malt and sugar notes, rich and decadent. Lots of bourbon and vanilla on top. A bit of an acidic harshness to it, unfortunately. Medium body, quite hot.

750ml bottle (2013 or 14, not sure when but I think it’s pretty old) in a stem glass. Pours deep brown with a beige head. Aroma of caramel and toffee and chocolate malts, some bourbon and oak and light vanilla, hints of dark fruits, and light dough and bitterness. Flavor the same with a nice blend. Smoother texture. A unique beer with a lot of bourbon.

"Lots of whiskey on the nose, with some wood and sweet malts coming through as well. A little hot, but not to a fault. Medium bodied (especially for such a strong brew) with ample carbonation. Flavor is whiskey dominant as well, vanilla, oak, semi-sweet, quite a bit warming. Definitely a solid sipper. Thank you Hannah."
