Bottle from Bacterial, thanks Jeff. Pours brown with minimal head. Tons of oak on this, nice booziness to it also.

75cl bottle from Kihoskh or Mikkeller bar last CBC.
App: Dark redish brown with a small and short lived pale brown head. First glass clear, last muddy hazy.
Aroma: Sweet roasted malty with belgian yeast and whisky. Chocolate and dark rye bread with raisins, licorice and slight boozy whisky.
Taste: Sweet malty, slightly roasted and spicy whisky with chocolate, dark bread, plum and raisin, licorice, wood and hot whisky.
Palate: Big body, soft carbonation with slightly bigger bubbles than average, oily texture.
Overall: I’m thinking the whisky character is quite a shame since it makes it a bit boozy hot. Otherwise it’s a well made dark strong ale resembling something Belgian almost reminiscent of beers like Rochefort 10 or Westvleteren 12.

2015-11-12. Nice lightly hazy brown body with a small beige head. 3+ Aroma has rich sweet malt core, big whiskey character up front dials it back a bit after the initial first impression. Notes of whiskey, very lightly nutty notes. 7+ Flavour is similar, rich sweet malt core, fairly prominent but not overbearing whiskey. Rich. Medium bodied palate, moderate carbonation. 3++ Solid, it grows on me a lot after a brash introduction. 7/4/7/3-4/15 Bottle from Aurora Brew Works, Buffalo.

Hazy brown/copper with a small off-white head. Big malty and fruity aroma, with toffee, chocolate and molasses, figs and plums. Also bourbon notes of vanilla and coconut, and quite a bit of alcohol. Sweet, vineous flavour of toffee, dried fruit, and bourbon, with plenty of warming alcohol. Plenty of sugar and alcohol, but it manages to remain elegant and dessert wine-like

Amazing must buy imperial brown ale. Super complex and opens up as you drink it. Temperature changes this drastically, first sip to last. Enjoy in good health and don't be afraid of the price if you know and like good beer. - pixels sent via Beer Buddy on iOS

Aroma is vanilla, barrel, a bit of booze, caramel, toffee, yowza this is nice. Appearance is brown, light brown head. Taste is vanilla, molasses, barrel, bourbon, nutty, lots of malt, very nice. Mouthfeel it’s is very thick, like cola syrup, with a soft carbonation, perfect for a beer of this magnitude. Overall, this is very very good but the price is too steep for me to want another.
