Amazing beer. Loved the bourbon oak flavors and smells. Vanilla in there too. Dark brown pour nice head and lacing. A little sweet. Rich and delicious. I wish I’d factored in the 13%. I need a nap

Aroma - dark carmelized sugar, dark fruit, molasses, and some chocolate. Appearance - the body is a bistre brown, with an off-white head around 1/4", that fades quickly. Taste - has a rich mix of prune, caramelized sugar, roast, molasses, and some faint chocolate. Palate - full bodied, texture is slick, carbonation is average, and the finish has alcohol and some sweet astringency.

Enteogenisk (119) - Bålsta, SWEDEN - JUN 9, 2016
UPDATED: JUN 9, 2016 Bottle in wine glass. This brew is a bit boozy, which doesn?t have to be a bad thing. On the proper temperature ist enhances the oaked notes as well as the brown malt characters. This would have had a better rating if the hops had played out differently. Feels like it isn?t making friends with the rest of the drinks and ends up wandering off alone, different than the rest of the pack.

Pours dark brown with a low tan head. Aromas of raisins, caramel, muscovado sugar, roasted nuts, fudge, ripe apple. Taste is quite sweet with ripe fruity notes and a strong malty backbone. Mouthfeel is oily and sticky with low carbonation. Very good!

Bottle. Pours a murky brown with a fading light brown bubbly head. Aroma is of sweet whiskey, nuts, vanilla, pine, toffee. Taste is packed with more sweet whiskey, light hints of caramel, but flavours, vanilla, hint of pine and treacle, slightly bitter finish. Sticky, light oily mouthfeel, soft to medium carbonation.
