Bottle thanks to Nathan. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is roast, wood, and whiskey. Medium mouth with sweet roast, chocolate, bourbon, and wood. Very good.

750ml bottle (2013 or 14, not sure when but I think its pretty old) in a stem glass. Pours deep brown with a beige head. Aroma of caramel and toffee and chocolate malts, some bourbon and oak and light vanilla, hints of dark fruits, and light dough and bitterness. Flavor the same with a nice blend. Smoother texture. A unique beer with a lot of bourbon.

Dark brown, creamy tanned head. Smell of oak, bourbon, vanilla, dark fruits and spices. Medium sweet, bourbon, oak, vanilla and even more dark and dried fruits. Complex, exquisite, warming, This beer has alot of layers. A real sipper.

Corked 75 cl bottle @ home. Pours hazy brown with a lot of sediment and an off-white head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma and flavour are dried fruit, vanilla, bourbon, and caramel - with a slightly bitter finish.

"Lots of whiskey on the nose, with some wood and sweet malts coming through as well. A little hot, but not to a fault. Medium bodied (especially for such a strong brew) with ample carbonation. Flavor is whiskey dominant as well, vanilla, oak, semi-sweet, quite a bit warming. Definitely a solid sipper. Thank you Hannah."

Bottle 75 cl. Pours a murky opaque dark brown with a beige head. Very spicy aroma, loads of vanilla and licorice allsorts - and booze. Rich body, heavy caramel and chocolate with a distinct sweet impact of the whiskey barrels. Very little Brown Ale here, if there ever was any roastiness its definitely gone now. But a very delicious border Barley Wine. A little too boozy throughout though. 040914
