Beautiful woody oaky bourbon aroma. Vanilla, oak molasses. Taste is full flavored nice molasses malty brown ale with strong whiskey flavors. Very good. Balanced and not boozy, but has all the great whiskey flavors. Carbonation is light and dies fast that is about the only downside. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light brown color, modest white head, lacing along the edge of the glass. Complex aroma of alcohol, dark raisin/dark fruit, spiciness. Viscous body, a lot of sweetness and an almost cola like note, some brightness/tanginess in the finish. Some nuttiness in the middle. Though high ABV, itís not too boozy. Clean finish. Delicious beer!

Pours a mostly clear chestnut brown with a finger of quickly dissipating off white head and minimal lacing. Has a prominent aroma like a sweet roll covered in a brown sugar and bourbon glaze. Taste has bourbon and brown sugar sweetness up front followed by a bit of raisin, toasted malt and oak. Maybe even a little vanilla. Sweetness isnít overpowering but is balanced by a slight bitterness and booziness. Finishes semi dry with noticeable alcohol warmth. Mouthfeel is somewhat syrupy with a medium/full body and light carbonation. Reminded me of a barleywine. Solid beer thatís well constructed but not very complex. Would be good on a cold day.
