COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pirate bomb is our beer Prairie Bomb! aged in rum casks. The flavor from the casks helps impart more vanilla and coconut flavors to the beer while helping to add more body and smoothness to the already explosive and expressive flavors of Bomb!

Chocolate chillies on the nose, very unique, dark pour. Little to no tan head. Strong coffee and chocolate start. Definitely has an alcohol linger. Strong

Aroma: lots of roasty coffee and chocolate with some booziness; Appearance: pitch black with tan head that dissipates quickly; Taste: very sweet with some rum notes; a bit too sweet for me; Palate: extremely heavy body with long, sweet finish; Overall: can appreciate it but don’t like it as much as others.

I had this beer and forgot to rate ...Unfortunately from memory I only remember it was liquid happiness. Rich and deep aroma of chocolate and vanilla. Thick and oily mouth feel. Taste well balanced but huge cloying sweetness with dark chocolate bitter notes. An invasion of flavors but still quite rounded. Aftertaste after couple of sips is getting more and more hot if I remember well. Huge stuff.

Wow. She’s a big girl! Rich complex and boozy. I blame this beer for loosing at poker night.

Fresh batch. Pours black and sticky looking with minimal head. Nose is loaded with fresh coffee and vanilla and an earthiness from the rum. Taste is dark chocolate, vanilla, and light coconut sweetness with enough dark roast malts to balance it out. Great stuff. Love the rustic elements the rum barrels bring.

Smells like and tastes like a gourmet dark chocolate bar with chili. Mouthfeel is thick with slight carbonation, aroma is vanilla and choco-heat. Smooth sipper, Taste is sweet. Argh. What a treasure, mates!

Bottle thanks to Casey. Pours a cloudy brown with medium beige head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong rum, vanilla, coconut, roast. Medium mouth, similar flavors to nose, nice boozy finish, really enjoyed this.

Bottle at Flying Saucer, Little Rock. Excited to try this! Dark body. Cocoa powder and rum aroma. Slight bit of heat on the back of the palate. Rum, sweet, cola notes, and cocoa of course. Abv well masked. Be carful at 14%. Really quite an amazing beer. Lives up to and even surpasses the Prairie Bomb.

A black body and short frothy dark khaki head offers drapes of alcohol on each swirl... the head falls to a suprisingly durable solid ring

Chile and rum barrel dance over creamy, nearly syrupy dark creamy notes of chocolate, vanilla, and jammy dark fruit with nuances of cinnamon and creamy rum heavy coconut and cola as the creamy medium plus body rolls through teetering on cohesive and loose... residuals echo the previously mentioned components with rounded warmth

12oz bottle code PIRATE BOMB 07:34 04816 served at 60° (probably a touch too warm) into Riedel Swirl Red Wine

10.04.2015, 0,35l bottle @ home:
Small light brown creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry boozy, minerals, oak, dark rum, grass, espresso, dark malts, chili, chocolate, vanilla, dark sugar. Taste is mild and slightly dry, minerals, oak, dark rum, chili, espresso, grass, dark malts, chocolate, caramel, licorice, dark sugar. Medium bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Nice one, but the regular one is way better. But it’s just as mild / balanced and easy drinking as the regular one.
